Optimal Note Taking Framework for all subjects using Obsidian

Below are my study with me stream info!
Default Schedule: [6 am] to [4 pm] EDT (GMT -4) Everyday except Friday!
We take a 30-minute break after every three 50/10-minute sessions, total 9 sessions. After 2 month of studying 13 hours a day with no big breaks, I can confidently say that having a longer break like this increases productivity significantly and increases your enjoyment too.

@@physical-therapySupermemo was in existence when I did undergrad in the 90’s but the whole PKM movement was not a thing. Wish I had Obsidian and Anki then. The saying though, ‘best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, 2nd best time is today’.

I was taking notes. Lots of great stuff here and I've been through most of the Obsidian videos out there. Thanks for the insights! My only issue now is getting my iphone, ipad, and desktop to sink the same vault smoothly. My vault has 5k entries at least and iCloud just seems to lag out or give issues constantly. If you have any insights on syncing without the Obsidian Sync I'd love to hear em. Keep up the great work. Thanks for all you do.

Very cool. Extra good. Amazing job. Plus ultra. Thank you very much for this guide, I have never been good with handwritten notes or paying attention in general, and paper archives eventually end up recycled or going into the trash. Now I can eternalize my stuff in a concise and accessible structure. Just need to see if I can get my hands on either a notebook or tablet, phone screen too smol.

I didn't realize it, but obsidian's icon color was my favorite color all along. And I didn't know about ___ delimiter. It was such a surprise for me. I have to know about MD more, this is a conclusion after this video for me. Thx for the video

Hi Brad! Great video - thank you! Quick question...at 10:00 you discuss exoplanets. Lets say I want a list of exoplanets and also a definition of exoplanets. How would you handle that? A EMBEDDED dropdown LIST of Exoplanets within the SAME note that has the exoplanet description, or an EXTERNAL link that hyperlinks to another note with a summary list of exoplanets - each link going to its own exoplanet note? Or would you simple relay on tags? I think with tags, if I did an exoplanet search. I would also get descriptions, "things I dislike about exoplanet blog" and other things - so I could never isolate just a list of exoplanets unless I create that list(?). What would your thinking be on this? Thank you in advance! Andrew

Pet the cat! For search, use the Omnisearch plug-in. You can mix up the order of words in a file name and will still be able to find the file.

So it’s little notes connected together that help to link ideas together! I tried making a one note on a book with notes and tried linking ideas within that same note but it didn’t work out well.

How did you get the file name to appear like that, on my obsidian there's a big header and I personally prefer the way you have the file name at the top of the page?
