I love the fact that every character in Beast Wars has a huge Fan base. PROOF THAT BEAST WARS IS THE BEST KIDS TV SERIES IN THE 90s. A perfect example of great character development.

Scorponok doesn't get enough credit: he was loyal to megatron, was a good shot and he created a virus that nearly killed optimus primal! He even saved megatron's life in power surge. He was a great character and deserve more praise.

Scorponok was one of my favorites when it came to fighting (his homing missiles were OP) and he was loyal to the end. Pity they killed him off. He'd make a badass transmetal.

Before melting to death in the lava both him & Terrosaur were becoming Transmetal, I always wondered how they would've looked

I love this series, but the way they killed off Skorponok, and Terrorsaur was cheap and pathetic.

Scorponok was my fav predacon.. Was very disappointing that he died so pathetically.. He turned transmetal as he was dying which makes it even more disappointing :(. I wanted to see his new form..

Scorponok was awesome. He got beat up a lot like many of the Predicons, but he was cool. Similar to Soundwave in the way he acts towards Megatron and his colours and even a small thing like how he has the visor eyes.

Seriously, how can Dinobot not hit a target he can SEE with eyes, with his eye lasers.

It just me or he was quite competent in first episodes (basically Predacon's mechanic and brute in one with respectable firepower, not bad in sneak attacks and beast mode strong enough to fight with Dinobot one-on-one), but in later episodes, he was reduced to mostly joke character blasted at first opportunity all the time?

It's weird how his intelligence was not consistent and he would go from being dumb to being smart. He surprisingly could put up a fight with Dinobot as shown in the episode Dark Designs. At 3:19 you can see that he was intentionally missing in order to crush Dinobot with the boulder.

I kinda wish that he got to interact with inferno and they would both form a bit of a rivalry with each other about who is more loyal to Megatron I don't know why but I feel it would've been really funny with Megatron basically having 2 insanely loyal troops with him

Is it me or was Scorponok basically the BW version of Prime Soundwave without the whole "Silent but Deadly" part?

I don't think scorponok got enough credit. By all accounts he was a pretty decent scientist and inventor. always coming up with gadgets of the week that almost destroy the maximals. as much as i love this show, it never sat well with me how unceremonious his death was.

They never really figured out what they wanted to do with this guy, did they? Between being Megatron's ultra-loyal right-hand man, the deployable drone, and the tech skills, I think they originally wanted him to be the Predacon version of Soundwave (which would make the other scientist, Tarantulas, Shockwave, I guess (they're even both purple)), but then they'd make him into an idiot who sometimes spoke in broken English. No wonder they killed him off!

Anyone else notice that in the clip starting around 1:55, Scorpinok has a red maximal symbol on that little thing on his chest? In later clips, it's a yellow predicon symbol though

Still so weird how they killed him and Terrorsaur off. I get that they were told to put more toys in, without the budget required for a larger cast of characters, but they could have done something better than have them randomly fall into lava.

Scorponok is loyal, but his loyalty pales in comparison to Inferno's! =)

Scorponok and Inferno were the only 2 who were the most loyal to Megatron. Terrorsaur, Rampage, Quickstrike, and Tarantulas tried to kill him. Dinobot challenged Megatron for leadership of the Predacons, Blackarachnia helped Tarantulas with his own plans, Dinobot II remembered his honor, and Waspinator quit

Megatron in any series always seem to have very loyal but completely idiotic.

Scorponox was easily the most loyal member towards Megatron, with the only one who could beat him with that status is Inferno. It's such ashame that he was killed off at the beginning of Season 2, and nobody even seem to care about him.

And then he fell in some lava without Megatron even batting an eye.

I know he was a largely unimportant character in the grand scheme of things, but he was always one of my favorites. Love his design. Can't wait for the new Kingdom figure to come out.
