I'm all in on Harris and Peters. Peters did a great job when he started with an "expansion" team. The oline and LBs were abysmal. The TE and Safety rooms were questionable. But you can only fix so much in one offseason unless you want to blow up your cap, and we don't want that. Year one is turning around the team attitude and pointing everything in the same direction. Bring in actual coaches and veterans to coach up the youngsters for the future. Evaluate what you need to do moving forward and identify what to fix in year 2, which starts with T, DE, and CB, and what to do about your FAs. Hopefully we are competitive every game, win or lose, and not giving up 30 points a game. Imo, Sainristil, Daniels, McCaffrey, and Sinnott start. Coleman has a chance, Newton and Magee should get serious playing time. Martin should become a starter. Davis and Mathis should be looking over their shoulder. We still have question marks at T, CB, and DE, but it's early July. Year 2 could see full scale coaching changes in Dallas and NY.

I still would have taken Drake and been patient. He's crushing it in New England (I live in Maine now) and the fans are head over heels for him. You just don't pass up that body size, arm strength and athletic ability. Yes he's not quite as NFL ready but he's in the same conversation as the other top picks as a sophomore. A second year player compared to a 5 year, a 4 year and another 4 year. Don't misunderstand. I absolutely love Jayden. I'm all in. Maybe he'll be the first "dual threat/college style/running quarterback" to actually win something. As of now they've won precisely nothing. Having an NFL dynasty is hard. Cap and rule changes to keep teams mathematically in the playoffs longer has had an effect, as has "what have you done for me lately", or NFL "Not For Long". The NFC East hasn't had a repeat division winner in forever, considering Washington was mostly bad that whole time. We were lucky with Joe Gibbs 1.0 because there was no cap, he quit when it was taking effect, and we had two outstanding GMs in Bobby Beathard and Charley Casserly, that was seamless. Had JKC not died and/or kept the team in the family, who knows where we would be now, but it is what it is. Can KC and SF keep it up, or will the cap eventually even things out? QBs, WRs, DEs, etc salaries are effecting teams. SF and KC have kept current because they replace their players, and only keep a few key players like QB for KC and getting lucky like SF with a 7th rd DP QB. I read where SF snd KC only had 7 players on their roster in SB from their last SB meeting in 2019, whether that was starting 22 or whole roster, you get my point.

Fans not going to embrace this "slow walking" of roster building. Wash got $$ to fix spots (LT/CB/Edge/WR) yet prefer to roll it over to next year, and the next year, and the next year....Cuz with AP/DQ stating the "gonna build thru draft" and contracts given to FAs prove that (short term low $$)it gonna take YEARS of drafts to get us even respectable much less competitive. All the while knowing there are FAs available RIGHT NOW that would put us above most teams in our division. Its NOT a good sign when fans and commentators all have the same "best outcome" of JD just getting thru 1st season alive/ healthy........If its still that bad you HAVE to spend that $$. Cuz I tell u right now, if JD gets RG3ed or by some miracle we miss out on post season by just a game or 2 Fans will NEVER forgive Harris/AP/ or DQ for not doing more that is easily done (signing a FA or 2 more). 50+yr fan, but either those scenarios I dont see forgiveness for the front office.
