I swear, she plays the victim when the dude didn't even do anything wrong. He was probably waiting on a machine. Heck, one of the first times I went to the gym a man was staring at me because he was worried about me. (I'm a heavy lady with asthma and was using the stair step machine for 20 minutes.) He came up to me and made sure I was okay because I was sitting on the floor taking my inhaler afterwards. I didn't get offended. I told him that I appreciated him making sure I was okay. That lady is delusional af.

My gym has banned/ blacklisted a lot of tik-tok “stars” for this reason. It’s bad for business to have these things go on, and we’ve banned phones being on the gym floor for this reason too. We had a situation not long ago where a woman had allegedly confronted a guy and posted it on social media only to find out the dude was legally blind in one eye and near blind in the other due to retinal detachment. She, of course, was banned but unfortunately due to the situation the innocent guy never returned, canceled his membership due to fear of being treated like this again. A lot of our night-time regulars also have been coming in earlier in hopes to avoid this situation happening, and according to our records and fob logs (when a member scans to get into the gym, we can see who it is) our cameras reflect the males stopping their workout all together or moving to other parts of the gym when a female walks in. Might sound like a “who cares” situation but the presence of a female does indeed create a drive to just leave rather than do better while working out. Our female members are outraged by this, of course, since they’re under the impression that their presence drives other members away which creates a toxic environment spawned by this trend. Everyone is afraid of each other, and we can blame social media for it all. I won’t be surprised if our gym loses members even further because of this situation.

It’s a shame how you can’t even ask questions or glance at someone without being falsely accused of something. This is one of the reasons why I workout at home.

Bro…. I work at a gym and recently we’ve been getting more and more women complaining about men “staring at them” or “being creepy”. Some of the guys that they say are being creepy are guys that I know are genuinely good people. I don’t dismiss there complaints and have no choice but to follow up on them but 95% of the time these guys on footage did NOTHING but breathe air in there direction.

A similar story happened to a streamer I watch. He told us this random woman was rude to his brother and their father yelled at her. Then the same woman came back another day and was following the streamer around while he was ignoring her trying to do his sets. She would just stare and wait for him to glance at her, following him around the whole time.

Sometimes machines are placed in a way where it is inevitable to "look" at someone, sometimes you see someone cute and just check her out, sometimes you wanna see how much weight they use, what exercise they are doing or just check their form, its basic human curiosity... I’ve tried helping women at the gym, or help them with starting their car in a parking lot. Half the time it’s fine, half the time they have a public meltdown and I look like a fool. A 50/50 ratio is too high for me and I’d rather not.

In between sets, i'm doing nothing. sometimes i talk to my brother when we go together, sometimes i'm looking at my phone and sometimes a look around. i look at what the jacked guys do. i get good motivation from that and i get to see good form.
