I believe the CPI will come "hot" (let's say 3,4%), but the markets will just dip slighly. Less rate cuts, Goldilocks for longer and also a later blow off top, followed by a shallow correction and up we go again. They can't allow deflation with such a high debt, so: currency debasement, more data manipulation and the recession delayed. I still expect a hard landing but maybe when the current cycle is over (2025-26).

I still agree with this later 18.6yr timing, I think they will hold everything up until there is some kind of attack from the ‘axis powers’ that they can blame the crash on ‘the war’

deflation could only really occur with a stock market crash similar to c19 - I am open to being proven wrong as always

@@camelfinance deflation hits when value of property falls (at the peak of the 18.6yr RE cycle) below the value of money lent by the banks so when they foreclose they can’t sell the property for enough money to recover to avoid a loss themselves and so they go broke and the whole system of money creation via lending reverses

Watched this video earlier and now, studying the book Mastering the Market Cycle (Howard Marks), I came to an insight regardning this hipotesis on the exponential age idea. In chapter II, Marks explains that all cycles are influenced (and influence) other cycles, and all of them are part of larger, zoomed out cycles. There could be a stretching on this bull cycle time frame for crypto as a part of a larger cycle - a steepening of the secular tendency curve so to speak - but, invariably, there will be a correction for this middle line and a most likely pressure below this line (the bear market) - which in turn will also find its way back "magnetically" to the secular trend line. Well, just thoughts anyway. I really don't believe in "up only mode". This people will be our liquidity ticket out of the market. Cheers from Brazil!!

Great stuff Camel. I still expect the mid-cycle-top to come may-june because of cuts, recession or recession fears etc. Then the double pump would align with entering the exponential age (roaring twenties) because of debasement and revolutionary technology (ai) etc, ultimately resulting in a right translated top. Smart money launched the etf because they know this exponential decade is underway and want a piece of the BTC pie this decade.

If you look at a monthly chart of the SnP 500 it is in a parabolic uptrend since the 90s. We certainly live in crazy times. Ray Dalio breakdowns the economy with an amazing YT video and we are due for the long-term debt cycle on a 100 year timeframe. Next great depression is a real possibility in the coming years.

Is it time for the miners to buy new pickaxes? Everyone is looking at NVIDIA Blackwell and if it can make mining better. Until we have more information it is all about if the miners are going to hold for this new tech or just sell and try to upscale with what is available now. What I don't understand is the markets have been factoring in future interest rate cuts and rallying on the assumption. But an eventual fed pivot would cause a crash? Wouldn't that increase liquidity for risk on assets?

They've been rallying both on that, and on increasing liquidity yes you are right in theory but in the real world it takes many months for any changes to interest rates to show up in the economy and stock market. I have a video explaining this in full detail called 'rate cuts are bearish' have a look at that if you are interested, was posted ~ a year ago
