This recipe makes the best Chinese Orange Chicken at home! Made with delicious crispy chicken pieces tossed in an incredible sweet and sticky orange sauce that everyone loves. This recipe is super easy to prepare, so much healthier and tastes even better than takeout!

I made your orange chicken for my family’s Sunday supper. Wow it was amazing. The orange sauce is over the top excellent! Everyone LOVED it. There were no leftovers. John, I just recently found your channel and it is truly God sent!. I am from Houston,Tx and I have lived here all my life. Recently my husband got a job opportunity that will be taking us to live in Kingsville,Tx. Kingsville is a lovely city (for me it is more like a town) which does not have many options as far as eating out goes. That is the one thing my husband and I loved doing. We would go out every other week to a new place. We love food! LOL 🤣 This new venture includes me staying at home and with your channel/recipes I am feeling a lot better that I can now whip up some delicious meals/desserts for my husband to try. Your channel is so lovely and love that you always have a smile on your face. ❤

You asked for possible spice recommendations. In Chinese and Vietnamese cooking, five spice is a very common addition. Besides that, you might had some very fresh grated Ginger.

Hi !! Jhon Happy 😊 Monday yes I have made orange 🍊chicken from scratch many of times . Actually that's my favorite orange chicken . Yes I use corn starch to make my chicken crispy . I started 7 years ago cooking I am an amazing cook . Who Started me to cook is my brother is sa sheaf and I also use to watch the Pioneer women , Bobby Flay , Sunny ,Anderson on the kitchen . I have my favorite that I like and they taught me how to cook . My cooking is amazing . I get a little intimated when it comes to baking so . I will keep watching you for baking until my baking gets like my cooking. Jhon please keep doing the recipes step bye step I have a passion for cooking and baking my dream. Was tempted when I watched this video Friday so I bought some big juicy oranges and made it for lunch after church today. So delicious! We really enjoyed this! I have celiac and can never eat Orange Chicken in restaurants, so it was so wonderful to make this for myself using gluten free flour and Braggs Aminos in place of the soy sauce. I've made this twice; it's as excellent as it looks. This recipe inspired me to buy a "spider," just like John's. I love Preppy Kitchen videos, but it makes me nervous when he's cutting chicken with a huge knife while looking at the camera.

Just finished a plate of Orange Chicken with rice and stir fry vegetables. I used thighs. I was a little worried there wouldn't be enough sauce but it ended up fine. This was so delicious. I might even say AHH-mazing.

Whoa, this was AMAZING. My husband and I made this for dinner tonight after work and it’s the BEST orange chicken recipe he’s ever had. He loves Cheesecake Factory orange chicken and he claims this is EVEN better. I used fresh garlic and ginger but that was all I changed. WOW. We can’t say enough great things about this recipe. Hey John. I can t thank you enough for posting this recipe. It’s ironic, you live in an area that doesn’t have options for Chinese take out. We live in a big city and all of the Chinese establishments here are TERRIBLE when it comes to orange chicken. I had most of the ingredients on hand and prep work was easy. Thank you for adding a staple recipe to my household that I will be making regularly!
