12/29/20 - Shortly after 7 PM, a dispatch for an auto accident with entrapment was sent out for a traffic collision at International Drive and Vineland Avenue. Engine 56, Engine 36, Rescue 56, Rescue 36, Captain 7, and Squad 1 were initially dispatched, but 56 units confirmed no entrapment on arrival and made the call a can-handle. Airlight 1 was returning most likely from training and happened upon this scene, but was not dispatched. One patient in their 70s was transported via R56 with CPT7 assisting, and Rescue 54 was requested but did not transport anyone. The large law enforcement presence appeared to be mostly for traffic control, as this blocked all southbound lanes of International Drive and all but one lane of Vineland Ave.
