Ebony Sapien of Subsahara In due time. 80 to 1000 in 20 years is huge growth. This place had absolutely nothing. The infrastructure takes years to build plus legal proceedings. Just like your SA which had no buildings before Europeans came in, it took centuries to build. There are people praying to move there. It would be 5k now if there was more housing.

First you're complaining that they won't let blacks live there and then you're telling us *"I bet you wouldn't live there more than a year before wanting to move to a more vibrant town or city."* Orania seems like a self imposed non-government reserve or less religiously rigid amish community. The Native Reserves here practice segregation on the tax payers dime. The Amish, Hudderites and Mennonites in the west also have self segregation.

Orania is probably one of the most successful communities in the world where traditions, cultural values are thriving thanks to skillful, systemic leadership, entrepreneurship, sustainable green thinking, out-of-box education.

Soweto literally has the highest concentration of celebrities in the country. From famous musicians, sports players, actors, business men and politicians. Two nobel peace prize winners lived there.

Robert Maponya even built one of the largest malls in the country there. Even some of our well known soccer teams started there. They have their own television channel. A lot of television series are shot there by sowetans, even many short amateur films that play on channels like mzansi magic are from Soweto by sowetans. A number of uniquely south African dances and music genres began in Soweto.

As long as you instill self-reliance and personal responsibility coupled with hard-work on the people, whether through religion or other means, people will thrive. I am a proud spaniard and since I was child I felt a great admiration for the Afrikaans people, their epopeya (epic), their history, way of living. De la Rey one of the best afrikaner generals had spanish roots (De la Rey -in spanish language means "Of the King"-). I wish the best of the best for the afrikaner people. Is really a shame and a social crime what has happened in Suid Afrika since 1990. God Bless you.

What have any other cultural group in SA achieved without taking from somebody else. Orania should be an inspiration to other ethnic groups in South Africa to teach their children the values and respect for their land and country. Again the afrikaner shows the rest how a prosperous community can be build from the bare necessities available, something only fools will take for granted because they never built it. They pay taxes in Orania and still achieve growing success every year since 1991. Peace, harmony and jobs. The things the rest of South Africa is not fighting for anymore, but killing for.The value system the rest of South Africa is teaching their children at present. Orania is not an example of people building a community from the bare necessities. It requires people with money to invest large amounts of money to live there . So one needs to be relatively successful before going there. Meaning its useless to poor people trying to create a successful community. Since they also dont have the luxury of inhereting the spoils of colonialism. You are looking at it from a very white perspective, no doubt under apartheid you were getting fat off of blacls slaving away while wondering why dont they buy nice houses and toilets and live like us. Why arent poor whites building such communities instead of squatting on park properties. If orania is such a prime example of building from ""bare necessities"" . The emblems are fists and spears because we were fighting for liberation. Blacks have been fighting from bullies all over the world for 100s of years.

***** you do realize orania was built over a preexisting town built to house workers. They didnt simply walk into some dessert into the middle of nowhere as much as you like to romanticize colonial history, it requires money not just a bunch of wondering whites. The white areas where 0ver 80% of the land and also were the most arable land and most mineral rich land, it was stolen and was never white land to begin with. read up. The men in the homelands were the miners who were working in the mines the minerals on their forefathers lands which was then taken by whites to spend on whites and on military used to bully us, telling us where we can and cant go, what we can and cant do.

Afrikaners constitute a despised minority without any real political influence. Having completely lost their former dominance they no longer pose a serious a threat to anyone. On the contrary. Their continued existence as a distinct people is under permanent threat of a hostile majority intent on their destruction. In sight of these facts one must indeed be a very spiteful person not to feel any respect for their effort at saving what little remains of their collective identity. Afrikaaners are Indigenous Africans. They have every right to be in South Africa, especially in the Cape Province, Orange Free State and the Transvaal. Good on you for making such a beautiful community. Do you ever think the Black Africans could set up a peaceful, prosperous, distinctly Black African community? I know that in some other parts of Africa, especially Ethiopia, there was a history of Black Civilization, so it is possible. So why don't the Bantus, Zulus, Xhosa etc just kick the Commies in the Gonads and set up their own places well? Don't say they can't do it. King Shaka ruled an empire as large in population and land area as France, and under his rule, the tribal wars stopped and the Africans were able to begin to build extensive Kraals with opulent big houses, growing their own crops, raising cattle and goats and engaging in international diplomacy, including trading with the Boers and British. Yes, he was brutal, but through his firm hand his nation became strong and, like I said, eventually there was a degree of peace. So why can't the Zulus of today get their act together and build a peaceful and prosperous future for themselves, instead of just romanitcizing about the Past Glories of Shaka's Mighty Kingdom? Eastern Europe, southern Europe and northern barely no blacks at all, next to none..i used to talk to a girl from Lithuania..she liked black guys but have never seen a black person a day in her life and there was no blacks there..i talked to another Caucasian lady from Romania if im not mistaken its been a while..she was a model very beautiful...she also liked black guys but hardly none there she was such a freak...me and my guy would talk nasty to her on Facebook like a gangbang she loved it..she wanted us to meet her up so bad.. Africa is my home. I was born here, I've lived here my whole life, and I don'tintend to leave. Africa is NOT entitled to a specific race or ethnic group. I am more African than some black people I know. I love this place, I do what I can to try to preserve it, and I don't become involved in politics, because it just fucks up every possible good relationship we might've had with each other.

This vid clearly states they are trying to preserve their people and their culture, and their own religion. Not everywhere is multicultural, nor does it wish to be, and they have this right. These are countries with a country and this one s to preserve their own people and culture. There’s nothing that stops the Bantu ethnic groups or the Anglo-South Africans, Indians or Coloureds from doing likewise. The Afrikaners are legally discriminated against and have BEE and AA used against them in any governmental occupation. They’ve abandoned the army entirely and have nothing to do with it. They have no to apologize for.

This is the most beautiful video I have seen on YT. I can't fathom how anybody would dislike this, except out of jealousy and malice. I shed a tear when I think of the malicious forces much bigger and more powerful than Orania. Who don't care about property rights or guaranteed freedoms. And what they'd like to do with Orania.
