Video was taken on 7/25/2023 at the Noquemanon Trail Network South Trails in Marquette, Michigan. The bike I tested was an Orbea Rise (Medium). This was my first time on an E-Bike & I was blown away! Simply put, the Orbea Rise was a planted & stable bike I trusted right away. An all around good bike, making a 15 mile day feel like a 5 mile casual ride.

Hi, Is there still that Shimano EP8 rattle? I can hear some rattling in the video but not like the old EP8 rattle. Did you notice this while riding the 2023 Rise? Thanks!

2023 Rise, depending on the spec level has either the EP801-RS revision of the EP8, or the new EP6-RS. "801" being the most current hardware version of the EP8 series. EP6 (aka EP600) is just an EP801 with a steel casing instead of magnesium casing. In other words, the EP6 is just a little cheaper and a little heavier (not quite a pound heavier). 'RS' signifies that it's tuned down to 60nm of torque for more natural ride feel and longer battery life. Anyway, I should get around to the point. The 801 revision, while not eliminating the earlier EP8's "rattle", has reduced it. Arguably also less noticeable (quieter) on the EP6 due to the dense steel casing.
