Thank you so much for this. Definitely needed. I can tell by your eyes that whenever you were making this video, you may have been struggling or dealing with something. @@t_train3796 I assume that Maria (same with the other ASMRtists that use a lot of props) has a storage room for everything she uses for videos. It might even be this room where she films, but hidden behind the camera. It's kind of the equivalent to the beauty room of a beauty KZfaqr with a large makeup collection.

@@palegreenthings179 miserable people will always be rude while they hide behind a screen, and it’s always the same few people. I ignore it. I’ll continue to support my fellow creators. People forget that creators can support one another too. Before I started making asmr videos I commented just as much. Fact check that. I’ve always loved asmr. I block and move on. But thank U for being kind. It never goes unnoticed

I've actually been looking for an eye exam or cranial nerve exam video for a while that did this because I think it is such a great idea.

Funny enough for me this is the type of stuff that un-relaxes me. Because I can't for the life of me decide, exactly, how she did this. It seems clear she was using auto focus previous to that, as you can see it adjusting focus as she moved around. Then all of a sudden "boom" perfect (and locked) focus on the E. Perhaps her auto focus has a name: Daryl? =D

@@aberg12012 her hand goes to the side of the “screen” which is the lens of her camera. I’m assuming she has a switch there, since her hand moves. These switches often have at least three settings: shallow, auto (which detects a middle ground object), or deep. She was in auto (it occasionally fuzzes as she moves closer or further and switches automatically to deep), and she manually switches to deep (you can’t see her up close, but can see the E). She changes back at the next section, because she and the background become fuzzy, meaning the auto mode was trying to find the middle ground.

Until today, I never knew there was a name for the unusually relaxing sensations I get from watching Bob Ross videos or listening to certain people whisper, smack their lips, or chew gum. ASMR is fascinating and how videos like yours trigger it is cool. It's almost like a kind of drug that makes me incredibly relaxed and sometimes feel like I'm in a daze or trance. Absolutely nailed the lens test! I always got a kick when I'd go in for my eye prescription and the doctor would compare lenses, often in a soft spoken voice 😊 Great work Maria!

@@ljm792 same! that's where i discovered i had asmr but i didn't know others experienced it too and i wouldn't find out about the official term until 20+ years later. at the time i don't even think it had a name yet. so glad i am not alone so that i get content like this! i don't have vision insurance so haven't had a real eye appt in like 7 years

My dr does and I love when he runs that thermometer thing on my forehead and around my ears. I’ve had the same dr since middle school and he’s done all my sports physicals. And the parts where he like tests my knee reflexes and presses on my abdomen asking if there’s any pain, those parts are SO sleep inducing for me. Or when he checks my lymph nodes to see if they are swollen. That lil neck massage/ exam be bouta knock me out. His voice is so soothing, even tho it has a bit of base, and his hands are gentle. My eyes always get so heavy when I visit. It is just so pleasant and comforting.

I’m one of those people, I had been on SSRI’S for 25 years from childhood trauma, I was never been able to get off. Started listening to ASMR specifically Maria and Emma and I’m am off the meds.. it’s absolutely amazing 🤩

You are so professional in everything you do. I imagine you investigating every detail of the topic you address. You have made videos speaking as a designer, flight attendant, teacher, flower therapist, vendors of a lot of things and also an eye doctor! and much more. You get to have all the right environment and the necessary things. I do not know how you do it! But that's why you are the queen of ASMR :) You've helped me so much with anxiety and insomnia ... Verstehe kein Englisch bzw nur sehr sehr wenig, doch ich kann nicht mehr aufhören Marias Stimme zu lauschen, ihr freundliches Gesicht zu sehen. Wenn sie lächelt, lächle ich zurück. Habe viele Jahre als Krankenpflegerin gearbeitet und war mir durchaus bewusst, wie überaus heilsam es sein kann, jemanden anzulächeln oder ihn einfach nur zu berühren. Vielen Dank liebe Maria🙏🍀♥️

- MARIA: 49:58: "If you don't see two lines, that could be a sign for something." - Us: (no one seeing two lines) Oh, Sh**.... 👁👄👁 All of us failed at this test since we can't have "stereo vision" when the camera lens is only one eye. 😂 However, all of the visual triggers here are SOOO good, and paired with those slow whispers made this super relaxing. Thank you!

Когда мой сын был маленький, я укладывала его спать самостоятельно-придуманным способом (в то время не было интернета , и про АСМР я ничего не знала ) : я закутывала его в одеяло, ложилась рядышком и шепотом рассказывала сказку "Маша и медведи", причем на шипящие и свистящие звуки делала акцент.... Ни разу сын не дослушал сказку до конца, потому что засыпал моментально ! 😁

This right here. I agree 200 percent. Many are jumping on the asmr train with lots of looks but no passion for asmr. You can tell easily that SOME are using looks only.

I work in a children’s ER. Needless to say I have some very stressful 12 hour shifts. Coming home & watching your videos is so relaxing & therapeutic for me. I can physically feel all of the tension & stress leave my body. I hope you realize how much you are appreciated. You & your ASMR videos have become my way of calming down. Thank you for being that escape for me & many many others. ♥️♥️♥️♥️. Have you ever tried a video with a black light? I can’t recall ever seeing one. I know you have the airline one where you do a darker setting as the giro goes in. Just like in this video....I enjoy the softer cooler lights. Wonder what one with a black light would look like in an ASMR video. You know how relaxing it is when you walk into the section of a pet store where the fish aquariums are. The humming of their filters & pretty lights & colorful fish. Would be cool if one of those business would let you do a video in there after they closed.

I love ASMR themed eye exams or anything related to it. My favourite is the eye chart, especially when you compare lens strengths. Super relaxing. Thank you.

The fact that she made the 1 or 2/ with it without section the longest part, proves that she knows what the people want. Usually people make that portion 2-3 minutes long even though I think that’s what most people are looking for in these themed videos. Usually end up having to rewind that section over and over again.
