I was watching on the iPlayer about an hour after the show had gone out, you know, catching up, not expecting anything more than the usual great Orbital gig - and I actually let out an audible yelp of surprise when I saw Mel bouncing out onto the stage. This is akin to a royal stamp of approval from lorra queen herself.

By far the best show at Glastonbury. Tilda Swinton and Sporty Spice were brilliant too plus the glowing balls thrown into the crowd made for a magical scene. I was exhausted at the end. Thanks for a brilliant show.

This was such a great Glastonbury moment. When the crowd around where I was clocked that it was Mel C, we all got super hyped! Deffo one of the highlights of an amazing week.

Melanie C was fantastic! Absolutely smashed her Live performance. Fans now await for the 12" single release of Spicy; perhaps an RSD release?

I actually think this is the best way to celebrate Spice Girls legacy. It’s not new music, not sure that would work. But a reworking from respected DJ’s and producers. Great remix and thanks for bringing Mel onstage.

There should be a blue badge on the stage at Glastonbury when you headlined in 94'. Such an amazing gig.

By pure chance this year (having long ago given up any expectation of seeing anything remotely interesting at Glastonbury) we turned on the telly at the precise moment Orbital came on - it was a stunning show and this Mel C collaboration was very special indeed.

Was there in 94 for what must be one of the greatest Glastonbury performances of all time when you smashed it out of the field big time! Didn’t get there this year, but loved watching you on TV, and was well impressed with Mel C wearing the sidelights! Where does she get her energy from, the secret celebrity fountain of youth?!?!

Another powerful performance from the Kings of Glastonbury. Melanie rocked it - a fantastic frontwoman. Dare I suggest that further collaborations might go down rather nicely?

I went to see Orbital in Bristol and they played this remix of the Spice Girls song at the end - and it killed the vibe completely. I talked to people afterwards and people didn't like it. However, some of the comments in this thread are very positive about the collaboration, which is nice. I went to see Orbital do 'Green' and 'Brown'... and didn't appreciate the weird 'pop' thing stuck on the end - I'm an Orbital fan, and do not like the Spice Girls pop pap stuff.

I hated the spice girls, never got it or understood why they did so well. Completely talentless and just ride the blag wave. But Mel c now that woman can really sing. Easily the fittest and cutest out of them all!

One of orbitals seminal tunes is the BOX and it's something as producers they've always looked outside of ..Only they could have thought of this gesture through ti.img and the need for it at that time at glastonbury and made it work. We have many electronic pioneers in the UK but Orbital that extra bit that sets them apart.
