The purple drop has no ending i survived till wave 12 with my forest titan then i discovered u have to stop it urself, apparently the longer u last the better the loot.

I activated a purple drop once, I won't do it again. First wave has lv 400 corrupted wyverns, like, no.

I could have sworn you said "The OSD is the equivalent of Vegans in ARK Extinction" Then you said "You're probably going to hear them before you see them." Made sense to me.

Velonasaurs completely own these things and their needles do not hit the supply drop. Bring like 4 velonsaurs and just jump between them when you need stam. Spam the "shotgun" attack.

There are Purple drops as well. Those things put Red Drops to shame in difficulty

I recently bought this DLC and I didnt know anything about this. So I hear some crashing noice see some smoke and went to investigate. "Oh there is a claim button lets press it!" - a shield appears and soon a wave of around 10 wyverns starts attacking the shield "Ok im safe inside i hope they go away"... *shield dissapears*

Simple version Blue drop: 1 to 2 Enforcers Yellow drop: 2 to 3 Enforcers Red drop: 3 to as many as you want Enforcers Purple drop: Well there goes your virginity

The purple or legendary version has enraged rexs, corrupted reapers and the very rare corrupted death worm. The red and purple also include corrupted rock drakes, you forgot to include that :P

It should also be noted that the easier OSDs have lower level dinos. The harder the OSD the higher the level the dinos that come.

There is a purple drop and i think its the hardest, on the first wave it had lots of rexs, spinos, and wyverns, which instantly melted me and my lvl 375 velanasaur

They will also despawn after some time if you don't get to them, I had a blue one sitting right next to my base that I never got to because I wasn't ready to take it on

i did a purple one that was a vein in the wasteland outside the city. it was super tough. i was on an argy which survived through the whole thing. it got destroyed and i had about 10-15 dino left over after it was done so no loot. there is a big main vein and smaller veins all around it so it is a lot harder to defend. most likely would be easier with several people defending it.

The velanosaur right click attack is very powerful and does not do damage to the drop. I have soloed many drops with my velanosaur.

purple has no wave limite it goes on forever unless you tell it to stop it's harder then the rest because it has rockdrakes and reaper kings and the same as a red

The purple OSDs include all the dinos from previous tiers, plus enraged corrupted rexes. corrupted rock drakes and corrupted reaper kings. Velonasaurs are quite possibly the best way to deal with OSD waves, using their alternative (RMB on PC) attack which is the AoE tail swipe. Enforcers have tiny health pools (yes, even the ascendant ones) and regen health extremely slow, so although they do bonus damage to corrupted animals, they are too much of a glass cannon. Titans are no longer viable, as they now deal significantly higher damage to both OSD shields and the OSD itself.

Big tip you can build around the drop. metal spikes are the best for solo defense.

So recently I explored Extinction for the first time, found a drop and didnt know what to do. Checked out this video and then immediately found a purple drop, wave 3 was almost entirely enraged rexes, wyverns, and reaper kings

BIG top reaper. High damage and health with the damage resistance along with crowd control and flyer grounding it’s invaluable

The purple one is an endless one.. i think after wave 3 you can choose to end and it'll give you rewards based on what you've completed... i play on single player and see it all the time.

Tried to do a purple one thinking it was a visual glitched blue one as they aren't mentioned on the wiki. Died before I knew what was happening. I think you need a titan or something along those lines to beat one of those. It spawn more than 20 lvl 400+ wyverns on wave 0

I cant even find the final few hostiles for each wave

ive had corrupted reaper kings and Rock drakes when soloing a purple, its easy to defend tbh, just have a flurry of spike walls and what i call crown of thorns(spike wall clusters on tall pillars) to stop arial attacks

lol I was testing my drops while prepping our server and the first drop I encounter is a purple one...I was like "Damn! How many dinos this thing got!?" I did 14 waves before I realized I needed to end the waves manually after some number

I'm doing a peaceful mode game where I turned off dino damage to my survivor. And I was editing the contents of the supply crates. I went to extinction to test things out. I was fighting off the dinos with a spear with no tamed dinos helping. My survivor was going up in level so fast it was unbelievable. I maxed out my level at 120 (The highest I set levels to.) before the six waves were finished. Even with taking no damage, it was still difficult to kill them before they destroyed the crate. On a regular game with no cheats? Go for the blue crate. Don't even try the other ones. Not solo at least. But the problem was yellow was all the game was dropping. And it dropped two or three of them while I was standing in the same spot. You hear them, and then look for smoke coming up from the ground a distance away. That will be it. If you look up soon enough, you can also track it in the sky as it comes down. But no bright beacon to follow. So, it's harder to see. I don't know if it was a fluke or if the game drops a lot of them when you are in the wasteland. The area outside of the abandoned city in the center of the map.

So currently at purple drop, but every time. The waves are seems to not end, please help any suggestions are welcome

Game was free on ps4 this month bought the pass for 10$ got this map and 2 others open the orb and got absolutely destroyed 😂 wyvern and Rex's now I know why good video.

Do you need to beat og bosses to learn the tek replicator engram to actually craft it or is it fine if you get the tekgram from the OSD?

The path finding on the ground bound corrupt dinos can be very bad so you will want to circle around the perimeter a few times if you can’t find them imiediatly

How about element veins? Are there different levels like the OSP...?

Guys, dire wolves from the cave are tameable, they're way above max wild lvl, breed an army of those, pair them up with velonasaurs and you get easy drop defense ;)

Simple strategy to deal with red drops easily: Breed 1000 velanosaurs, paint them in red with a yellow hammer and sickle, put them around the beacon on aggressive (put spikes before the beacon if you want), deactivate shield and put the soviet anthem as loud as you can while you also send a horde of red proledodos to destroy all the gigas!

where do they drop? How many times do they drop in a 4 hour session? Do they always drop in the same locations? so many questions...

Me and four of my tribamates went for a purple. All 10 of our velonosaurs and 5 rexes were lost in that battle by wave 4.

5 people on 80-100 imp gigas 550-600 m u can do a purple one to round 6/7

You can solo the yellow ones with a high lvl Rex. Try to have him with around 500% dmg and 20k HP, just to be sure, but you can solo it with less stats.

I think you could try a Quetz or Paracer with platform saddle/turrets

Element vein is red drop equivalent in difficulty. I did however gain 50k exp from the waves. So it's good for leveling dinos. Managarmr don't do damage to drops or veins with frost attack and freeze wyverns mid air making it easy to clean up with rex or giga. We almost lost 3 gigas in the first 15 seconds of a purple drop, extremely hard, you need at least 5 people of high quality dps to make it through. Like raised giga kinda quality with snow owls for healing and Managarmr for slows.

For a purple drop build metal gates around it then patrol area with about ten gigas , snow birds and velanosaurs lol

Tried red OSD 3 times on the server im playing on... server crashed 3 times. Was only using rex’s and some flyers, not sure what was causing it

In unofficial boosted you can tame a giga and get it to 8k melle it’s just amazing

I was on a super boosted server we found a purple drop we had 5 people there 2 velonasours 1 nanagamar 1 daodon and perfect tame rex we finished with about 1,500 health left and luckily none of our dinos died but the loot was so good we got ascendent tek blueprints witch i didnt even know existed and a ton of armor and guns and 300 element

every time i activated a level 4 osd or purple osd i can never compleat it even if i get 10 rounds in

Purples do exist they have 200000 HP I believe. I Saw one when I first started and one a few days ago. Never tried it tho, people say its an endless wave survival with an option to eject loot after wave 10. Seems like it has some nightmare creatures, planning on how Im gonna go at it solo. Edit: Just did a purple, it had the same health as a red 100000. Had lots of level 400-500 corrupt wyverns, rex, rock drakes, spinos, enraged rex and trike, reapers. I'm sure there is more but I only got to wave 3 solo, they broke the drop so fast. Probably gigas and death worms. One things for sure, Its gonna be hell to solo and get the wave 10 loot.

I took on a yellow osd with one level 18 enforcer and I died to three trikes at wave 4, I was gonna scurry off because I realised I couldn't do it but it was out of stamina and we both died.

How to deal with purple drop bring 4 pals and 4 velos then hold right click with high Stam melee and a little bit of health we did 30 waves before someone crashed the we were like that's good enough

i use the desert titan to solo hard and medium and easy but i didnt manage to defend the legendary one (purple)

The pink or purple supply drop is hard a a rock so definitely use velonosaurs
