Ours are usually metal. So they're alot lighter than the wood versions and hold up much longer. Most other leagues don't allow the all metal ones though

Fair point but most other fights are highlight reels from people doing 90 seconds on a cool day. These guys are going over and over on a hot day in blackened armour.

I agree. Alot of the groups in the US don't take it seriously so people just think it's larping. No one understands that it's a serious sport. But hopefully one day it'll be recognized.

@@vordermark89 Id say the main reason people just categorize it into larping is because most people now days lack any effort to research the actual subject. I plan on doing this sport but as of now all I have is brigandine, and have only recently started a proper workout so I have a long way to go lol.

Easy to do when your teammates are only going 65 percent because it's just a demo but you go 100 percent. Is what it is. He doesn't dominate in serious competition.

@@vordermark89 I see. Is Logan just a mid tier dude or does he not train hard enough, etc? I saw another video of what looked like a backwoods meetup and their was a black knight with an axe and someone said, “that’s Adam, he had 9 years experience fighting.” If that was you, that shit was brutal. I am very interested in the sport and I have been lifting since I was a teen. I see a lot of shoulder and bench press strength being used, along with leg drive and mid back/core for the throws and grappling. Any train tips?

@@michaelgresham1980 you nailed it sir. I don't really like talking about anyone behind their backs but he knows what he did. He intentionally hurt teammates, newer fighters, female fighters, and inappropriately harassed members of our group. He hasn't been around us for awhile, and also made us and himself look really bad at another tournament at a different league. I always tell people train legs and core hard, learn to strike accurately and you'll be golden. And yes, I am that Adam 😂

Personally I wouldn't fight in a low list as im more concerned about falling over it and breaking my neck than 7ft mountain man with a two hander 😅

I've gone over it, under it, around it. Never had that problem. Unless your armor doesn't fit you almost ALMOST can't break your neck. You can piss off the muscles in it, but a break is highly unlikely

Is there a certain rule for brigandine colors when it comes to combat? Is bright colors too distracting? Makes you a easy to identify target? I'm planning on getting a tri colored brigandine.

Depends on which fight. A lot of it was just demo. Showing off, letting new fighters try stuff.

There was a moment where Kaley(?) was lumberjacking the other person... should have (ignored the marshal) kept at it. Nothing wrong with getting those points all from the leg if the opponent isn't good at defending low....

A few reasons. Reason one, they are only meant for specific types of armor. They don't really work with brig's and corrazinas. B, they're unnecessary. C, we don't require them in this league.
