Thank you for this! I'm new to card collecting and I want to place an order, but it is scary ordering without pictures. (I think I still have a lot to learn because some of the moderately played I couldnt even find the scratches and scuffs on the front, but that may be due to the nature of the reflective top loader on video) This is very helpful!

Also I'm sure glad you got a partial refund! It would be ridiculous if you didn't. You have video evidence that it was no fault of your own.

Thanks for stopping by! And yes haha I’m glad it didn’t come to it but I did have the film ready just in case 😅. That is something that has been mentioned before and in future iterations of this style of video I am sure to go over each card front and back in depth to allow the viewer to judge each card better for themselves. Your comments are very helpful

Glad you got your money back. I'm not super particular about condition either, but I would consider all the cards except for the last one a complete loss.

Im returning to collecting after having a bunch of cards a decade ago as a kid. I just ordered a bunch of cards from tcg but I chose near mint and tried to choose sellers at 100% with more than 50,000 sales. They come in 4 days hopefully they all turn out good...

The top loader was cut, zero fault of the seller. Top loaders are tough. Sucks how the seller had to eat the cost.

Yeah I imagine it got chewed through one of those letter scanning machines. And it really does stink. Either the seller or buyer needs to pay the cost of postal mishaps. And more than likely it’s the seller

I'm not a fan when sellers put multiple cards in one sleeve, especially when there's a holo in the back. Having even 2 in the same sleeve can potentially lead to the holo being unnecessarily scratched and could be construed that the seller didn't care enough to sleeve them individually (penny sleeves are really cheap lol). Great video though, I've been trying to figure out what to rate my Jolteon Star as, because to grading companies, even one crease can automatically drop you down to I think a 5 or 6 but to TCGplayer creases can start showing up at MP and MP cards in my experience usually look just fine. Mine has a more cosmetic crease in the back middle portion where I'm pretty sure it's a product of humidity changes, as it has never been bent.

Wow that is an amazing card to have! And yeah it can be difficult with the standards they have on their site but for a lot of people a crease or bend is a huge flaw especially because grading companies see those flaws differently as well

@@MisterStubstep Absolutely. Now that I think about it, if I bought a MP card that was above probably 50 bucks I would be pretty upset if it had a crease, even if it was just a cosmetic crease, so I think if I ever decide to sell it or grade it (yeah right) I would probably put it at HP because transparency is key when selling stuff.

Depends on the cards and how poor the condition. If old there is potential, if new it wont be worth anything for a long time if ever.

I’d look at sellers that sell sealed product consistently, their ratings, and if they’re positive, you should be good to go. I’ve ordered booster boxes on there and they were real and sealed
