Agreed. I will watch this film solely just to watch him. He’s an underrated actor and as you say it’ll be good for him to do something outside of his normal wheel house of kicking ass. This actually looks pretty good and I look forward to seeing his performance

Honestly also comes down to the movies she's doing, what's up with all the Christianity movies, that's literally all I've seen her do in the past years. Either she's not interested in doing anything else or that's all she's getting offered (which is surely not the case). These movies aren't even shown internationally much so unless she does other kinds of movies there are not gonna be any more hits for her

She earned enough money to never work again and did many movies so whatever she wants to do is fine, it‘s just not the kind of movie she‘s gonna get much recognition for, the other one wasn‘t even shown outside of the US. Is a movie that highlights how financially devastated everyday Americans are from simply accessing healthcare really that "wholesome"? I know people love the single hero saves the day stories, but some of these problems really shouldn't be problems in the first place. This trailer kinda depressed me tbh.

In Europe, Canada, Australia or most other developed countries, the little girl would have been cared for by the government funded medical system. I guess film makers are happy that the country is as broken as it is--there's plenty of terrible stories to mine for cinematic inspiration.

Exactly. We could use fewer movies about the heroism of ordinary people moving heaven and Earth to help each other in situations like this and more movies about the villainy of the corrupt, greedy system that creates situations like this.

Maybe the USA doesn't have national health care as a plot device for movies. I mean, Hollywood is one of our major exports amirite.

It's about the community coming together during a snow storm to help Michelle.This is a movie about how one woman changed the entire community to help this little girl. It's ALL FACTS and most people still remember Michelle's story from the 94 snow storm. You can Google the stories from back then so you have all the facts before going in to the movie (therefore knowing how true the movie actually is!) This is actually a really good family movie!
