His diction is excellent, every word that comes out is very clear; super accurate notes with the perfect arrangement. You're right, Tyra, this cover is really insane! ❤️

Me, too. This has got to be one of my top three favorite covers of Daryl. R n B with a smooth jazzy touch and the accompanying instrumentals and voice layering backup vocals are insanely cool and wickedly heavenly badass. And, here I can feel Daryl's runs playfully caressing my goosebumps.

Daryl Ong is like a Japanese Ninja throwing a thousand poisoned daggers that looked like red roses. Too difficult and impossible to block, you do nothing but embrace, and enjoy the bleeding till you reach Nirvana.

If you're looking for 'runs and riffs' in Daryl's songs/covers no need to find it 'cause the songs/covers is the 'runs and riffs' itself

Daryl Ong is in a league of his own. His choices, decisions, grouping of notes and phrasing are uncommonly extraordinary. Musically, he is maturing exponentially and he is only in his mid twentys. I think it's safe to assume that young Mr. Ong has surrounded himself with excellent players, composers, producers, and Musical Director (Orchestration, Arranger) because they're all like minded people and as musicians they all know that it's always about the music, about the immediate song at hand. To prove my point is this recording. It is perfect. It is brilliant. Uncle Le😎

Guess what Tyra, when it comes to Daryl, you’d be wise to remember 3 things: 1) - He does (with frightening regularity) 2) - He did (especially in this video), and; 3) - HE ALWAYS WILL ✊️😄👌

@@mystery6411 .... When it comes to Daryl, I’ve always felt that he goes “all out & balls out” right from the start & doesn’t ease up on the throttle until he’s finished & for me, that’s what makes him such a complete artist ✊️😉🤏

Usually he respects the song and sings it more like the original on the first verse till chorus then shows how he takes it on 2nd verse and so on. you'll find that in thinking out loud, dancing on my own etc. He doesn't do it on medleys tho

That meltdown... this cover is like an innocuous package tucked away in a corner, unnoticed (for shame), containing nukes - ready to 'blast away' anyone who'll open it. Haha. To me, this cover is similar to his cover of Ed Sheeran's 'DIVE' - so underappreciated for the genius that it is.
