It’s our final day on Icon of the Seas, the biggest cruise ship in the world and we are stopped at Coco Cay, Royal Caribbean’s private island. And today they are opening up a brand new adults only section called Hideaway Beach and we are the first to experience it. We’ll give you a comprehensive tour of the beach including the party pool, the bars, the music, and the dining options. And we will also show you our hideaway cabana, which offers the vip oasis away from the party, and your own infinity pool. We’ll have fun with all our friends and try to determine if Hideaway Beach or a Hideaway Cabana is worth paying extra for on your next trip to coco cay.
And back in the ship we’ll cast off from our perfect day and take in a night of entertainment including a parade in the royal promenade, one of the craziest game shows at sea, and dinner in a rainy Central Park which might be one of the best kept secrets on the ship! This has made me aware that my idea of "Adults Only areas" and others view is very different. I'm looking for serenity (quiet) and most others are looking for party (loud). Sounds like Peter and Kitra were looking for the same things I would be. So the answer to my version is $$$ for a cabana.

Completely agree! It would have been hard for me to turn off my brain to that thumping music (and not complain all day as a result!) A cabana is the way to go, but I’m glad they clarified at the end of their visit that it’s an additional charge to just visit Hideaway Beach on its own. Not sure how I feel about that additional cost. 🤔

What this has done though , is make the regular pool quieter and more enjoyable. If you do go on a RCCL cruise to Cocoa Cay, I recommend getting a bed on South Beach. They’re more affordable than the cabanas and it’s very secluded.

They had the Anchors Aweigh parade also on the Oasis of the Seas and it was EQUALLY WONDERFUL!! We went out of our way to see it both times it was held…Not QUITE Disney quality, but it was SO MUCH BETTER than I was expecting!

My wife and I went on our first cruise at the end of February. We went to Hideaway Beach on Coco Cay and Loved it. We didn't mind the music. We didn't have a cabana but We were lucky enough to get one of those beds in the pool. It was an amazing time. The heated pool was great since it was too cold for us to swim in the ocean. The food was great. We tried a little bit of everything. We booked our next cruise for early next year on the Utopia of the seas. It will be fun to be on the brand new ship. Safe Travels on your next adventure.

I guess I underestimate the heated pool. I think we just don’t like the loud pool music

@OrdinaryAdventures I understand. The music was loud in parts of Hideaway when we were there but wasn't too bad on the far side of the big pool. We got it on sale for around $26 a person. There are other sections of the island that are an up charge that are supposed to quiet and relaxing. Unfortunately those other sections are really expensive. We can't wait to get back there.

Adult Hideaway Rave Beach seems somewhat fun. Probably some noise cancelling earpods would help if you're just chilling on the loungers. It is a bit strange they don't have a quiet section with maybe some cheap massages or something. Guess you have to go to Mexico for that. (shrug) I love see all you streamers run into each other and have fun.

There were a lot of people in there and it was also very loud music so we couldn’t film for both those reasons. We did a wide shot pan of it
