This actually made a whole lot of sense. If he went with Kawasaki, he'd be cool with both Yukino and Yui. And given how affected she was when talking to 8man in the anime and how cool he goes with her siblings, I could totally see that happening in the anime. And Komachi goes well with everything, so yeah.

Yeah, because she did not give up. And told them as straight as she could what's up with her, and that she needs help there. Meanwhile, Iroha and 8mans little sister are teaming up to push him towards Yui, which his sister has been doing since the first season. xD Its an ending that shoves in your face the fact that relationships in Anime, Manga, Comics, any story really... that these relationships don't just end after the credits roll. It's just the storyteller who decides that here is good point to end this particular slice of life story. ^^
