Oregon Desert Jeep Camping Overland Style - Mines, Historic sites, and Views for Miles
Oregon offers some of the best overland style car camping opportunities in the US. Join me on another trip across some of the most remote areas of the Oregon desert as I explore in my mildly kitted Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. Camping, exploring, historic sites, lost mines, homesteads, camp cooking, gear, tips and more are all a part of the adventure.
Hope you all enjoy seeing some parts of the state of Oregon that very few people see.
As always, thanks for joining me on another Jeep Overland Style Car Camping adventure!
Cheers,
Casey

Sometimes, there just isn't any better feeling than being out there in the middle of the Basin and Range, fifty miles from the nearest pavement, on a clear Spring or Summer night. Starlight so bright it seems like daytime. The Milky Way glows like a neon sign. It makes you realize just how small and insignificant the petty squabbles of humanity really are. Keep traveling Casey. I, for one, will keep watching.

You could rename your channel "camp fire cooking with pie pans." Your breakfast actually looked quite good. Heading into that country you might want to pack a few sticks of wood just in case you get into an area without fuel. Nice video. Seemed much shorter than the 30 minute length. That's a compliment.

Had a similar windy night in the eastern sierra nevadas a few months ago. I eventually retreated to the truck, the gf tried to tough it out. The wind eventually got so strong and folded the tent up with her in it. She was fine and we spend the rest of the evening in the truck. The tent was a bit of a cheapo, but I was told that a tent upgrade was mandatory haha. The next week I ordered an iKamper hardshell, which has the gas shocks, with the option to lock them. Thing is a beast in the wind and its like sleeping in a hotel. Best investment. 👍
