I think teams that win national championships also get more guys drafted! You can't project how many players are going to be drafted if a team wins an national championship, compared to if they don't even get that close.

Appreciate the breakdown! Definitely could see a Penn state, Alabama, ole miss coming into Eugene for a playoff (which I’ll spend whatever I need to go) if we don’t win the big 10. Love the shows thanks again!

Regarding cold weather challenges by going to play at, for example, Wisconsin in November... Yes, cold will be an adjustment and difficult. On the flip side, could you not say that a team that plays in 35 degrees and snow at home now goes on the road to 75-80 degree sunny SoCal won't have challenges as well? Maybe not frozen hands to deal with, but dehydration and cramps are very real and maybe even more debilitating in the 4th quarter. I had a convo with a friend who said "can you imagine Oregon's corner duo with Jabbar if Khyree had stayed?" My question to him was "would Jabbar have come to Oregon if Khyree had stayed?" Thoughts?

When you were counting the nfl draft picks you forgot Harmon and Caldwell they are def. Both draft picks
@LockedOnOregonDucks3 ай бұрын
Both could be capable yes, but Caldwell might need to prove it a bit more against great teams Harmon may or may not leave after this year

Savage’s dad went on Sports. Chat 503 the week following the spring game and said if there was a game that day Kobe would be ready to go. Makes me think injury wasn’t too serious.

You forgot Caldwell, Harmon, Jacobs, Alexander, both Johnsons, Savage, Harper, Holden, Herbert and Bedford as graduating seniors. Bold move saying none of those players get drafted. The DTs are going by day 2. Edit: Harmon has 2 years of eligibility and might need both to reach his potential. The Ducks are certainty paying him like a day two pick.

There are questions on those guys, but you're right that it might seem ood that NONE of them get drafted
@johnw69923 ай бұрын
@LockedOnOregonDucks You're significantly underestimating the talent on this roster imo. Jamal Hill was Jacobs backup and he went in the 5th round. Jacobs gets drafted. Alexander is an elite athlete with unreal acceleration. He's a midround pick as a developmental cb on athleticism alone with a chance to rise after a year with this team. Caldwell was a top 25 portal transfer. He's a no brainer draft pick. This team is absolutely loaded.

Harmon mainly a run stopper but Caldwell will play on all downs. He is a twitchier pass rusher than Harmon

If draft picks are a clue to success, the fifth year of the Lanning era will have a ton by then, the way they are recruiting, the pipeline will be stuffed

Caldwell and Harmon are both better than who they replaced from last year. An argument could be made that the starting 2 corners this year are better than last year. The safeties? Savage better than E. Williams? Is the duke transfer better at nickel than Johnson was? Is Johnson good in the back end? Which guy elevates their room the most? Without knowing your answer, I'll say duke transfer, on the caveat, Johnson's move to strong safety is a success, (he played nickel at miss.as well). Strategically, he makes the most impact. He just needs to be good
