Love having opportunity to revisit this game. Favorite part is hearing the Michigan fans continually booing their team. Doesn't get much better than that. . . .

I thought fans are there to support their team, not boo them. Fair- weather fans -- who needs them?? Every team has problems sooner or later. Yes, I'm glad we beat them, and their fans should be ashamed of themselves.

I remember seeing this game on the schedule a couple of years before it was played and thinking, "Oh, shit! The Big House. That's gonna be a big problem." There are few Duck games I've enjoyed watching more than this one. What a freaking beat down. And one that heralded the arrival of one Mr. Chip Kelly. Oh ... that fake statue of Liberty!!

I always hate when they say they shouldn’t have lost, because Appalachian State always fields a good team, and has good coaching. First year in the Fbs they win 10 games and their bowl game.

This Michigan team beat Tim Tebow's Gators in a bowl game at the end of the year. Right between both of their national championship titles. Go Blue!

Oregon was loaded in 2007. Interesting would could have been for them with a healthy Dennis Dixon that entire season.

They would have won the NC. Nobody was running that spread like us back in 2007. When Dixon went down against Arizona it felt like someone kicked me in the nuts.

Is there a juncture where Chad Henne is lying on the ground face down in pain? I remember hearing on the radio that Chad Henne got knocked out of this game. As a die-hard Ducks and Beavers and Blazers fan, ANY win over Michigan or Notre Dame is a big deal.

I'm a Michigan fan and that was an ass kicking to say the least. However, if it were not for this beating Oregon gave us we wouldn't have won 8 straight games and damn near won the B1G title if we didn't have so many injuries plus 2 losses at Wisconsin & vs. Ohio St.

Michigan was a decent team in 2007. They got caught thinking they were a great team by App St. and if you don't recall, Oregon was the best team in the country until a ridiculous amount of injuries derailed their season. As a Duck fan, I've always had the utmost respect of UM for scheduling that home-home and not backing out. It was tough to get big-name teams to come to Autzen, and the Big 10 has never backed down. That's more than can be said for the SEC and Big 12. Wisconsin, Michigan, and Purdue held up their end of the bargain....Texas A&M and Kansas State ran for the hills.

Oregon and Dennis Dixon were playing damn good that year until he got hurt. Still we had no business losing this game 39-7 at home. Decent teams don't lose like that at home.

Decent teams thinking they're great teams lose like that at home. Losing to the best I-AA team is a shock, but can be attributed to first-game jitters and whatever else. A bushwhacking at home to a team from a rival conference like that is the real wake-up call. UM went on to have a pretty damn good season after that, considering the first two games. At the very least, the 2007 Michigan Wolverines were a decent team. It's a shame Carr was shown the door.

eKriZZLe Carr wanted to retire the year before but our AD had no plan for a replacement and asked him to come back. It was his time to go after not having the team prepared for the first two games and losing to Ohio State for the 5th time in 6 years.
