Okay Miss Emmy... I hate to say this but I'm going to... I'm sure looks can be deceiving, but that looks like decaying something with a bunch of little maggots running through it. I'm so sorry, I'm not a gross person but I'm an honest person. I appreciate the time and effort and love that you put into that. But everyone has their opinion and this one is not for me. However, thank you a bunch for sharing. However, I did need to add that I enjoyed watching it anyway. I enjoy watching most of your videos since I discovered you. And thank you for that blessing at the end of your video. I hope everyone stay safe and yes we will get through it. God bless you and your family.

When I saw the title of the video I was like “eww, who would like sweet rice with cookies”. But then I remember this dish that I really like called arroz con leche (rice with milk), which is an actual rice dessert. So now I just wonder what a cookies and cream arroz con leche would taste like. Sounds actually amazing.

I add cocoa powder to my arroz con leche all the time. One time I bought some but they forgot the cinnamon so it was pretty bland. I didn't have cinnamon tho so I added cocoa instead, it was great. This probably tastes similar since the cocoa powder would be like the oreo cookie and the condensed and evaporated milk would be like oreo filling.

Honestly, I was geeking with her! You gotta admit, a rolling toolchest like that is absolutely an BRILLIANT idea for a kitchen island. Built to withstand the worst kitchen disasters, lots of storage, it's own power strip. And if you know where to look (or who to talk to) they can come in as wide an array of colors as there are styles of kitchens.

I would dread coming home from school knowing that my mom wanted me to wash 10 cups of rice, this was when the variety of Japanese rice wasn't that great where we lived so I would be washing rice FOREVER. Now we live in western WA and there are many Asian markets around to buy nicer quality rice that I only have to wash about five times. I remember my roommates asking me what the secret to making Japanese sticky rice and I told them if they are using a regular pot do not peek at the rice while it's steaming - keep the lid closed and they had to wash the rice until the water was clear. I asked them how it turned out and they said it was the best rice they've ever had, but they were washing rice for f***ing EVER, it was the best day of my rice washing life LOL!

I tried this one as curiosity got the better of me, and I did use less Oreo's as it looked like it would get too rich otherwise. I did need to cook mine for longer as my rice cooker kept turning off too early and wasn't cooking the rice correctly, but I did achieve a good consistency and good result in the end. I also thought it needed something fresh to cut through the richness so added chopped strawberries and chopped black grapes to the dish, which I think really improved it a lot! So thought I'd pass that idea on in case it was helpful to anyone else. I think it would also be great with some fresh banana slices on top, and maybe a drizzle of peanut butter. Might as well go all out hey! :)

When my husband first started his diesel mechanic career we had to buy an a enormous tool box that was almost 6 feet tall and even longer than that. The payment on it was like a car payment and you picked the color paint the color handles it was a whole thing. What really made me angry was about 10 years after he started working he changed companies that gave them these really cool trucks to drive and no longer needed the very expensive toolbox. Thank goodness they hold their value better than a car and his apprentice bought it from him before he changed companies.

I do have to confess I kinda hope the new space is temporary -- I so loved being invited into your home kitchen. It felt like I was getting to hang out with a friend. But I completely understand why that's not a good place for you to make your videos right now. And the new space is great! I know you'll make it cozy and homey as you have the time. I hope you and your family are doing well, too, and weathering all of this okay.
