To answer Jimmy Lelio, there are no rules about one power system being "easier" than another. The event is called Precision Aerobatics. It is not about power systems and which of them is better, or more challenging. Electric has its own set of challenges, and it is not as easy as just installing a battery and pushing a button. As far as the speed of the flight goes, it was very windy at that Nats, and in order to cut through the wind - especially in the vertical and overhead maneuvers - some extra speed is warranted. The judges should be looking at geometry and not focusing on what type of power is in the plane, or how fast it is going. GREAT FLIGHT...right angles and altitude....but one question: going eletric makes the Start and Finish easy comparing to Fuel...how does the rules apply!!.....ah...I think a lower speed would make the maneuvers nicer!
