Those Dymo embossing tools have been around since the early 60's. I got one in the mid 70's when I was a kid and got another one after that one broke. They were under ten bucks. I just found my old Dymo embosser yesterday in a box in my closet which led me here :).

I was actually admiring a vintage 60's Rotex label maker that I inherited with my dad's tools. I've been using it quite a bit and was wondering if anyone else appreciated them... You summed it up perfectly.

As a kid in the 70’s, my parents had two Dymo labelers (2 different models) in the house. They were very handy and as I recall, fun to use.

We still have the one we bought from 1970s in my parent's house. It's bright orange and guess what- it's labelled F - E 105 using its own sticker! It's shaped like the star ship enterprise. It's retro and so satisfying to stamp letter by letter!

Mine doesn't have any arrows I guess they decided to save money by not painting them on anymore, but thanks to your video I was able to realize I had knocked the top and the bottom wheel out of alignment and pop them back into place instead of throwing it away. I have a ton of this stuff from the 80's, i am super glad that they are still produced because they are fast becoming an obsession. I'm currently using them to label all of my screws and parts in storage. Also really simple technology so you can make custom legends and tools if you have a 3d printer

Your label maker prints so well. Mine doesn't do like that. Mine is exact the same model and brand but prints weird and some times doesn't print at all.

sadly retro tapewriters did not made their way to europe in the past making them very expensive to buy where i live but the quality of produced labels is much muuuch better.

I’ve been wanting to get a label printer for my small business for the longest time and finally pulled the trigger. I’m glad I did ! This machine is great kzfaq.infoUgkxw55tQTywUAAOsbrlwxONZULry77sFF1Q and the blue/green color matches the rest of the accents in my office. My favorite part is how small the footprint is. It’s less than 1/4 the size of my regular printer.Set up was fairly easy. Seller will email you a link with video instructions Which I found to be more helpful than the written instructions. I use a Mac and had no issues. They even included an adaptor for USB to USB-c which is great because I’m always losing mine! I had a few issues getting the labels to print properly and wasted quite a few sheets. You need to play around with the settings to get everything adjusted just right. If you have the wrong settings, it’ll crop off the edges or feed through blank labels. These aren’t issues with the machine though, just user error.
