Currently I have boxes in the garage with excess dinnerware I'd prefer to rotate in/out more often. If you decide to share more, we will be forever grateful! I would love to learn. I truly don't care what you have. It seems to me this is something you really enjoy and collect. Anyone who stands in judgement of you isn't worth your time. I have never been taught how to set a table. I can absolutely relate to the missing cutlery but WHERE DOES IT GO!? Its so frustrating when you finally get all your pieces, your house is clean and organised and you STILL loose them! I was thrilled to learn someone else has the dishes fever as well as me. Oh my. I too do not over buy bags, shoes or jewelry but when I see lovely dishes I'm there. I buy three or four at a time if they can be bought that way and sometimes the whole set. I have my original fine china from my wedding, I have a set that belonged to hubbys grandmother very old. I have my beautiful blue everyday set, A flowered set in pink for mothers day and tea, I have a Christmas set, really lovely with gold trim, a fall set with colorful fall leaves on white, I have a snowman set for winter fun days. I am obsessed with dishes. I had a brown set called Franciscan, it was my husbands favorite but it got scratched up and chipped so the leftover good pieces got donated to a thrift store. I have three sets of flat ware one is gold one has blue handles and one our every day set. I would love to have storage ideas. I have been boxing mine in the basement and its a lot of work to change over. I have a china cabinate and I use it more for storage then "show" like some do. PLEASE share with us your storage ideas and any one gives you a bad comment I'll go after them like a pit bull in a china shop....:-) I love the storage bench idea. I have one in my bedroom and it holds all the extra sheets and pillow cases for the bed in that room. I love it. Looking forward to learning more ideas for storage.

Thank you for posting this. I am always looking for storage ideas. I thought about shoe boxes for the flatware but your boxes are much nicer looking and not as deep which means you can store more. Oh, there is another dimension especially for lost socks, gloves - and flatware!!! Now, what about placemats, table decorations, etc.???

Just a suggestion for your expensive sets, maybe adding felt to bottom of plastic containers so your flatware don't scratch along w/silica packets to keep tarnish at bay.

Team Need to learn checking in. I have flatware for 12 that I use only for holidays and flatware for everyday use that I keep in the kitchen. However, last year I had 40 (no exaggeration, 40) people in my home for Thanksgiving. Needless to say I had to buy more flatware, glasses and plates. Your tips and ideas will come in handy. I'm often seen as pretentious when I share a new flatware set with my friends on Facebook. I renew my sets yearly so this has led to gaining interest in collecting sets. That and I have to buy 18/10 sets because I taste metal on anything less. I buy individual sets to *taste* because although merchants advertise 18/10, my taste buds tell me when it's actually not. Because I pay higher prices for these, I've been concerned about storing the pieces so that the quality isn't tainted and my storage doesn't look like a motley lot of oddities. They are nice pieces and I need the nickel to stay separated from lesser pieces...your storage ideas are a great help. Thank you!

Beautiful collection. I love to learn how you store all your beautiful things. While watching, i thought that if the seating ottoman was deep enough, and the lids didn’t come off, you could store them on end. Then you would see everything immediately and wouldn’t have to lift and move items. Just a thought - i am certainly not trying to tell the queen of beautiful organization how to organize! I collect Santa figures. It started with one shelf accidentally when I realized we had a small collection. It now spans 3 out of 4 shelves on the big bookcase and grows by one or two a year. We enjoy getting them out at Christmas though.
