In this video i clear some clutter from my writing desk (aka the Bermuda triangle of my craft room) and organize my papers and ephemera with my three tier IKEA cart. I love how this turns out because I am able to easily see and use what is in here. This seems to be a fun and easy solution to the piles on my writing desk.
Thanks so much for spending time with me and watching my video.
Please give me a thumbs up if enjoyed this. Happy journaling, Lisa xo

Your kitty kat's are adorable, I've given up organizing my ephemera there are too many pieces, they are all in a big tub with a lid. I then just rummage through it when looking for a piece. I envy your space and watching you organize it. I find too many baskets clutter a room, especially my space which is in the living room. I did however purchase coloured plastic tubs and labelled them, then stacked them in the corner of the room. I store all my stamps and ink pads in one tub it's easier for me. Thanks for the tour.

The kitties say hello and thank you!! I think it is very liberating that you have decided to throw caution to the wind and just toss things in bins. Well done you! Those of us that fuss over organizing can learn a thing or two from your ability to easily rummage. There is a lot of freedom in your method. I know it doesn't always seem like it but you have a random way of crafting that is enviable :) It's like free range crafting LOL!! I think the plastic coloured bins and labels is brilliant. You found what works for you!! Well done :) Thank YOU for watching and being here w me. I really do appreciate hearing from you xo

I love your workspace! My undiagnosed ocd has my eyes going everywhere enjoying all the vintage goodness…and kitties. I’m still plugging away at my mess, uh, I mean space. Lots done, lots left to do…I’m hauling the shop vac down there today…it’s getting serious😂 Thank you for the motivation/inspiration. One more cup of coffee and I’m off to make more progress.❤

Such a timely video as I’m feeling like my crafting space isn’t working for me. I love how you made the carts work better for you and how you added the case on top. I have 2 carts that I need to do the same with…fill with things I use regularly and maybe update as I move through the different crafting seasons. Thank you for the inspiration!!

You are very welcome! I am glad it helped you even if just a little bit. Some times we just need to move things around. And, like I mentioned, some times you arrange things and they just flow and other times...it takes a few kicks at the can to find something that feels better. Keep playing with ideas and try to have some fun with it instead of feeling like "you failed" you know what I mean?? Thanks for watching :)

Love me a good organization video! I think your cart turned out great. The writing desk is beautiful! Owning one has always been on my dream list- maybe when we eventually move and I can have an actual craft room.🤞🏻😉

I had made the decision yesterday to have a big clean up in my sewing/craft room because it has become a space I don't want to be in. I bought 2 carts to put my loose ends in but they sit in the middle of my room and every surface has piles of stuff on and I can never find anything. I haven't wanted to create anything in months. The clutter has got in the way of any creativity so I will be cleaning out all the recycled envelopes, cardboard, ugly paper and anything else I haven't touched in years. I will still have plenty to work with. All my cat fabric will be made into cat beds and sent to a couple of cat rescue groups I support and this will free up a lot of space to make way for more work room and to be able to better organize all the items I use the most. I have also decided to stop buying digitals because once bought I don't tend to use them. I have so many books and scrapbook paper that I can use instead of wasting them. I am hoping that by making my life more simple I will reopen my creative side and save lots of money as an added bonus. Give the girls a pat from me.

YES!!!!! I think what you have planned is such a great idea. Getting rid of the things that do not bring you joy will not only feel good but it will also free up your mind body and soul :) I have been doing the same thing and it feels soooo good. We hang onto things bc we think we "should" and that one day we might like them better. No, just get rid of them. When I donate things, I think....someone else will find a treasure and be really happy about it :) Let me know how you feel when you have cleared it all out. AND! Enjoy this process too. Enjoy feeling accomplished, lighter and less burdened. Hugs xo The girls say Hello back and send soft purrs and a few meows :)

Love your teddy bear…looks just like the one I have from when I was a baby 66 years ago! A Steiff…..

Awwww thank you Melissa :) He is a gem! I am *ahem* 56 and I think I had him by my first birthday. I often wondered how many other Teddys there were that looked like him. He was pink when he was new. How fantastic that you had one too. My guess is that he came from somewhere like Woolworth's or a Kresge store. He has spent the last 30+ years in a closet at my Dad's. I am going to give him a good soak this winter and refluff him. I know at one point my Granny took out all of the sytrofoam pebbles that was his inside and replaced it with lambs wool....which explains one of the reasons I am in love with the smell of fresh wool. Anyhow....Ill do a post spa treatment for Teddy when I have him washed, brushed and fluffed :) Thanks for watching! :)

I like your train case storage. I have one from my mom, and I put my ephemera in it and forgot all about it. Hmm, I might try it again with trays. Isn't ephemera such a problem to organize sometimes? I love your organization videos.
