May I suggest you get a 12-18 inch piece of PVC pipe and glue a cap on the one end. Then you can use 2-3 large cable ties to attach it to one of the legs on your cart. You can the use this to hold you poles and plant supports out of the way but easily accessible. If you have a lot of each you could put a second pipe on another leg, (diagonly opposite), to put the poles in one and plant supports in the other. (** Ask a local plumber if they have any odd size pieces of PVC pipe, then you wouldn't need to get a full 6-8ft pipe. Unless you wanted to have it around like me 😁).

A super easy mix that seems to work well for me is a mix of “regular” potting mix and a cactus/succulent mix. I do like you and keep them separate and have some of it mixed and it’s easy to adjust if I need more drainage or less drainage. On new plants I’ll add some worm castings. I need some orchid bark! 💗

I use a kitchen island cart for plant stuff. It has a butcher block top, so I clamped a plant light to the top for plants. There is a towel bar on the side that I hang spray bottles on. I keep clips/ tools/ random bits in the drawer. And I use the cupboard for fertilizer, pest control, pots and saucers. It has worked super well for me and it’s pretty 😊 love your channel! I have a cart and a two dedicated shelf units (one being a 8-er Kalkar with two sets of drawers and 2 doors plus bins). The top of my cart is empty because I fill watering cans and put them there to lug around water when I do water. Middle shelf holds tools and bits and bobs I need to do pruning, inspections, ties, as well as pump bottles for different fertilizers, etc. And most used liquids on the bottom (fertilizers, etc.) in bottles. And I have hooks attached to the top shelf for brushes and rags on one side, and a roll of paper towels on the other side.

I have a few different spots of clutter hahaha. I have 2 "plant" carts. 1 has a plant on the top and sits in front of a window next to my couch, and underneath it in the bottom 2 tiers I keep plant stuff. The 2nd cart lives in my bedroom and has a giant butt cut of my monstera living in it (also next to a window). I would put plant supplies in it but it usually holds outfits that I've planned out, so I can quickly grab clothes and go to work, etc. Next to my cart by my couch, in between the rest of the couch and the window is a tall skinny entry way table that I use for more plants. Underneath it I hold most of my plastic pots in stacks. I have a small piano bench that has 2 taller stands on top of it to hold plants with some lights. I have a box of more plastic pots underneath it the bench, and then underneath the stans I have........ more plastic pots (lol) that don't fit in by the window and that I'm too lazy to move and put away in the box. This is also where I have poles and all my plastic water saucers stacked together! It also has some of my extra non-liquid pest treatments!

I also make my own soil mix. I use coco coir, worm castings (for nutrients), medium size perlite, and an orchid bark that has horticultural charcoal in it. I also will add more of one thing for certain types of plants and also lately been adding any sphagnum petels that are at the bottom of my sphagnum bag or come off after reporting a sphagnum plant. Been loving that mix and has been helping a lot. For my succulents since I don’t have a lot I usually buy a bag of succulent soil (actually got the Mollys succulent mix because of you) so very excited to experiment with that this year.

gonna give the salt cleaning hack a go next time, I have done it with a bottle brush so far witch works great, but that looks just so fast and clean. I also like the vinegar instead of soap, as you have to rinse so often to get all the foam out. You could put all the stuff you don´t use in a box in the basement, or where ever, and if you don´t use it in 6month or a year the you know you can get rid of it. Or put a lable on it with the current date, and remove the label when you use it, this will also show you if you ever use it and maybe make it easier to get rid of in a few month. I have a plant cart as well (Ikea NISSAFORS), I have small bins with soil mix, lechuza pon, stratum and moss in the bottom. Most of my plants are in lechuza pon and I have a big bag close by, so a little box works for me. In the middle is a metal bin (ikea trofast?) with some small glasses for baby plants or propagations and also my fertilizer (terra aquatica 3 part) and some random things and the top right now has some plants on it, or otherwise my watering can, mister and squirt bottles. plus I have 3 small boxes (ikea SUNNERSTA) hanging on the side that have my plant velco and clips and other small random things. I went to ikea and looked at the cart and the just tried out all the kitchen organizisation items close by to see what firs and would work for me. I´m honestly thinking about getting a second one :D
