I am from Togo living in Europe, 40 y. old. I do not understand any word from all the music of Oriental Brothers International Band. But my soul and spirit are used to fall deep in ecstasy and tears each time I am listening to. I don't know why, but it is so. There is something spiritual in the performances of this group. Big up for this Band. May African Ancestors bless them.

YES YOU ARE VERY CORRECT, THE ORIENTAL BROTHERS BAND IS SPIRITUAL, IN THE SENSE THAT A WELL ORGANIZED PIECE OF SOUND IS EXISTENTIAL. YOU DO NOT EVEN NEED TO UNDERSTAND THE LANGUAGE SPOKEN, BECAUSE LANGUAGE IS JUST A CONSPIRACY BETWEEN TWO OR MORE PEOPLE, BUT A WELL ORCHESTRATED SOUND IS OF A UNIVERSAL QUALITY, NOW YOU KNOW WHY IT RESONATES WITH YOUR SPIRIT BEING😇🙏🏼

The Oriental Brothers International group was quite talented. As I ride my bicycle (for exercise) on the streets of Brushy Creek in Round Rock, Texas, such tracks take me home to Nigeria while bringing Nigeria to me here in Central Texas. Music is truly a universal language: even people who don’t understand an Igbo word, appreciate and are moved by the melodies. Remarkable!! Nigeria is endowed with so much talented yet most of them are wasted due to misrule, greed, and outright shortsightedness. Anyway, the more one listens to the greatness of our beloved musicians from Yesteryears, the more one marvels at the sheer talents of these musical geniuses!! Let’s appreciate these surviving talented people now, and not after they or we die! Appreciation is best expressed in life and NOT in eulogy!!!

These are those days, when guitar, voice, drums ,speaks differently and later combined everything to be one. Sometimes I ask myself, these people of those days, were really seeing and receiving melody from God. Not what they are playing now. Good music is gone and as been played in the 60s,80s, 90s.

Some of you may no understand the lyrics, it is quite solemn, used to energise the Igbos of Biafra who lost the Nigerian Civil War- 1 million killed. Indeed, it has a balming and healing effect.
