How to make an Origami Gift Box with One Sheet of Paper Difficulty level:★★☆☆☆ My paper:15cm×15cm origami paper

I agree this was a little tricky to figure out, but after working with it for a while I did figure it out. After you've made all of the initial creases, if you look at the grid there's a small square in the middle, that's the bottom of the box. The crease at the center of each side of the paper is the crease that gets folded inward at 2:51, and everything else fell into place for me after that. I don't know if that made any sense, but hopefully it's helpful.

Thank you for making this! It was such a nice origami to fold! It took a little while for me to figure out the last few folds you did, but now I know now to make one of these. Such a cute little box and so conservative!

it's really straightforward..well done! I think most people have had trouble making it because they made it with you, instead of watching the whole thing first. Personally, I would have liked some music as listening to paper rustle for 4 and a half minutes nearly gets me to pull my own hair out. And i have a lot of hair. Overall, awesome job, and not talking helps the argument that this really is a straightforward origami project!
@140kittykat9 жыл бұрын
I didn't like that there wasn't audio instructions, but guys just mute this video and put on something you do want to listen to. The last couple of parts aren't so hard if you simply watch it a few times THEN try to reason out where the folds could be. Pause the video to figure it out, cuss, take a breathe, make it happen. YOU CAN DO IT!!

Hey I was wondering is this suitable and recommended for mailing? I'm starting this online selling thing and this looks perfect for the item I'm selling.
@saowaluckbugansky7918 жыл бұрын
Suitable, but not really recommended (unless you use thick paper), as the paper tends to crush quite easily under weight/pressure. Not sure if this helped though...
@enasaurusgraal54948 жыл бұрын
Saowaluck Bugansky Yeah I might consider using thick paper after thinking through the condition of the box as it goes through the mail world. Thanks anyways!

Great tutorial, but it might have been easier if you outlined the creases you were going to fold on with a pen or marker. I also recommend not using same sided paper, as it is hard to see outlines. Other than that, keep up the great work!
