Neko* was my second original origami. This is the third time I remake the tutorial for this model (the previous one was made in 2011!). The folding sequence has been improved and the ears are easier to make .
*neko (猫) means "cat", in japanese :D

Cat is among the most difficult to design. The model strike magic with a simplicity that captures the nuance and charm of the kitten. Well done

Amazing! It’s great to see how you made this but in different forms. A bookmark form, a faceless form, and a money form of the cat. It’s nice to see all of them! Now I must fold it so it can go in my origami cat collection 😊 P.S. I really do like your origami bookmark creations and I’ve folded every one of your origami bookmarks, so is it possible you could make a snowflake bookmark?

I tried to understand why my paper keeps folding screwed up, then I realised that it’s actually something like 5:4 aspect ratio, it’s something like 10x11cm 😅

Jo, i'm curious, does this copper laced paper type oxidize in green after a while? I guess what i'm asking is, is it really copper? As usual, awesome work!

I think it's just the color of copper, not really copper

Your videos are perfect for me - I've made a lot of origami models that I wouldn't have done without them. Thank you! This shape of this one reads as a red panda for me - I wonder if the facial markings pattern could be created with folding? I imagine flocking one side of a white sheet with deep orange fibres.
