My heart dropped when I applied some force in pulling the flap and I thought that it was gonna rip apart, but it didn't. And I am happy of how it turned out.

Guys if it doesn't flap pull the tail out GENTLY but STRONG and it might break a little on the bottom but it is alright and then it will flap!

This video is honestly amazinggggg! I am terrible at origami and have tried a million "just for beginners" and "step-by-step" origami videos but always end up with a flop. This was my first origami and this is an absolutely AMAZING tutorial. Perfect pace. Clearly showed how to make the folds. Nothing too intricate and very simple. It looks beautiful and it's so fun to see the wings move!

When I try to pull the tail, the whole thing almost comes apart... it does flap a little, but not as much as it does in the video.

Thanks man, I made the bird and tried to make it flap. It did not work.....at first. I was trying to pull the tail the wrong way, but I watched the end of the video and you said pull it up. At first it did not want to work but I was persistent and kept tugging at it and it started flapping. This really does work, you just have to be patient. Thank you. It is a great project to do when you are bored. Also, all the people who say it doesn't work, then just keep trying to pull the tail up gently, and you will get it.

At first, I made the bird and the wings didn't flap but I realised that it only worked when I pushed the tail forwards, towards the rest of the body
