I love my revival trem. Bias tremolo is fantastic for adding texture to quiet sections and then going full crunch without the trem taking over. You do have to embrace the drive section as well as the effect to make full use of these pedals. I like to play only using the guitar’s tone and volume to adjust on the fly so these all in drive + effect pedals work great for that approach.

I have bought the DELUXE61 for bass because of that. I use a Duesenberg Triton bass and i can run this as a drive pedal or always on and for songs where i go from playing hard to playing softly, i can use the tremolo to add something extra, since my guitarist doesn't use much modulation effects.

I don’t think there exist pedals I don’t really need that I want more than the Origin Effects Revival Trem, Magma57, Revival Drive Compact, and Cali76 Compact Deluxe. They all sound amazing. These pedals for me are just pure want for the pure joy of having them. I want to run both the Revival Trem and the Magma57 in parallel, each into one side of a Mesa Stereo 2:Fifty.

I love it when I click, hang in the balance of suspense; to see if Pete has his Purple Tele. Love it. "Purple Tele Army United." He inspired me to custom build my own. Although mine has a Rosewood Fretboard, and both pickups are Twisted Tele. Thank you Pete.

Billy Gibbons does play Magnatone but he plays the Classic series amps, which are more of a Marshall style amp. The Magma 57 is based on the Traditional series Magnatone amps.

It seems that everything Origin Effects sounds fantastic starting off years ago with their outstanding compressors. One of these days I might be willing to take the plunge though I have 5 compressors.

Sell all 5 and get the Cali76 Stacked Edition, you won't regret it. I did it and I've used it gigging, recording and practicing every week for 4 years and never looked back. You'll even have some money left over after selling 5 Compressors for more toys 🧸 🔫

I have to admit I was absolutely wrong about these origin effects pedals!!! I have a Revival Trem and I have to say it’s my absolute favorite pedal of all time. Not only does it sounds amazing but it also feels great under the fingers too!!! And it loves overdrive pedals in front of it too!!!

I would use the RT in the loop of my old Tonemaster and keep the two drive pedals I use up front To give my clean tone a little hair/trem

Magnatone amps are known for being a stereo vibrato circuit into a 2x12 or 2x10 cab. I feel like this is the big selling point and what makes their vibrato sound so lush and huge. It feels like a big miss that the Origin Effects MAGMA57 doesn't have a stereo out. Does anyone know if the output jack is a stereo TRS?

Doesn't Lee know there is both a Marshall AND Fender preamp in the revival drive? I use mine with the US preamp.

The reason it was so subtle is because it isnt in the circuit in power amp mode at least from what I read so that makes alot of sense. Still these both sound amazing!

The Magnatone is probably known for because of Bo Diddley. They were also stereo amps.

The vibrato part of Magma is worth as much as any high end Uni-vibe pedal on its own ... And you get killer OD/amp in a box pedal with it.

Someone tell Anderton the Revival Drive is not a "Marshall in a box". Much more versatile. it does tweed, blackface, and Voxy tones too - Origin's characterisation is "vintage style non-master volume amps in a box"

I have the revivaltrem and on the fence about getting the magma. Sounds fantasy but the vibe effect, whilst cool, isn't one I'll use much at all. It's more the magnatone drive tones im interested in

Exactly the same "problem" here. Got the revival trem but too much gain for my deluxe reverb and I prefer the drive tones on the magma... well... problem is the bias trem is crazy good... I don't know!!!

These are the first 2 pedals I've seen that I would be willing to pay over $400 for. I loved the JHS 1966 series but no way would I have paid that much for them. These are really spectacular

the bias trem is one of the best pedals i own. the fact that the magma can do a chorus effect is both amazing and annoying. sigh *unzips wallet*

Bigsby and similar trem systems, they're not actual tremolo systems, they're "quick detuning mechanisms" Bigsby has had what...60 years to fix their design flaws and they haven't, so they must be quick detuners for sure.

This is probably a stupid observation and possibly off kilter and no offense to the pedal makers intended, but each of the origin pedals remind me of the head of Marvin "..brain the size of a planet..", the robot off Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy series....yeah must be just me..

Andertons must make a lot of money with these boxes. I prefer good amptones without F/X Pedals. These are way too pricey, even if they're made in USA. Sorry 4 that.

Poor review. Dont think Revival get a fair shout with this format. Surely the player should get to tinker with the settings as they affect the way you play. The captain is a fair to passable player who clearly does not appreciate the subtlety of these types of devices. Shooting themselves in the proverbial foot here.
