Philip Morley builds custom furniture in Wimberley, Texas and is a cofounder of the Austin School of Furniture. As a classically trained woodworker, his work is firmly grounded in history and a respect for tradition. “Everything has been done before,” he says. “If something is super original, well, it’s probably ugly.”
But this respect for tradition doesn’t blind Morley to the value of new tools and techniques when they can benefit his work. Origin keeps him efficient and effective when designing a new piece and iterating on that design.

Shaper Origin is a great tool! Totally agree with Philip...a cnc for the small shop to help get the work done quicker and accurately.

In my time, I had to make a chair out of a block of wood by hand. With hand tools and final product strength test And hitting corner legs on the floor if a piece of furniture did not break down, you continued to learn machines (typically 40% of the furniture was falling apart):-)🤣😂🤣fortunately, the school no longer exists therefore I am glad to see someone trying to continue and educate young people.Thank you with all my heart and good luck. 👍

First of our awesome video beautiful looks very easy but not for me you have to be patiently waiting for your had to be working and design on computer if you don’t know how to operate your computer are you not patient do not buy this machine waste of money another hand if you’re facing with doing work on your computer maybe it’s for you I have this machine for over a year and it’s sitting on my shelf I just can’t take it unbelievable on commercial look very easy nice the accent of the guy who stuck in an English accent Britain Axon whatever you call it but trust me if you don’t know how to do shit on your computer it’s not fucking
