@@saljpal3 You can actually see Asuka in one of the panels. Also the venom suite is a exact copy (not that this is bad) of the hole fourth eva from NGE. The colour sheme and the pose at 3:21 are obviously inspired by NGE.

It’s too early for a Sp//dr anime, considering she’s the least fleshed-out character of all the Spider-Men. Only appeared in two comic events and one movie. Gerard Way needs to start writing a solo series for her.

You completely forgot to mention how Uncle Ben was apparently behind the engine that assimilated May and Addie and apparently had something to hide. Hopefully they continue Peni’s story somehow because they left us on a cliffhanger with all that Venom business!!

Fairly sure she has at least super strength, spider sense and wall crawling abilities in the movie as she is shown to have the sense when meeting other spider-men, able to crawl on walls with the other spider-men outside of her suit and is able to lift something that would likely be quite heavy and swing it with a enough force to knock a super villain down. (spider sense could come from the radioactive spider though)

Yes on the super strength and spider sense. Not on the wall crawlling. She is not crawling. The others are just holding her in place. Comic version has no powers.

I love how they’ve got members of Section 9 as Easter eggs in this comic series. It’s so awesome to see Major Kusanagi and Batou in a Marvel comic... even if they were criminals in this case.

Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy blew up recently. But Peni Parker could easily have an animated movie or series built around her too. The mecha-anime concept gives you so many ways to reimagine every classic Spider-Man villain. Imagine Green Goblin, Vulture, Rhino, and Doctor Octopus done in this setting.

The mech suit absorbing people is one of the scariest things. When it first happened to Shinji's mom and then Shinji and Asuka, I had chills up my spine. Like, where did they go? What do they feel? Did it hurt?

Well, same here, but since this venom was created and it kinda fuvked up, I don't think they'll be trying that again. Unless comic reasoning happens and by trying to make a new and improved sym engine they create carnage, wich probably is gonna make things worse. Also, I think that since carnage is completely red and so is Peni's spider mech, it would get kinda confusing.

Ngl imagine if they used the whole “Destined to be Spider-Man” plot point from TASM 2 for Peni because of how she’s pretty much the daughter of what would presumably be that universe’s Peter. Imagine if Mayday is a She’s the only one of the six characters from the first movie who hasn’t had any proper mainline comic adaptations outside of Spider-Verse Unlimited, if given a good story, personality development, and art direction she could end up becoming a top-tier variant of the Spider-Verse.

Another Spider-man heavily influenced by anime was Aaron Aikman, that appeared in Edge of the Spider Verse and was influenced by Osamu Tezuka. Really loved that character and his costume. Really good comic. Wish he was used in other spider comics.
