I’m currently fasting the month of Ramadan and we aren’t allowed to goto the movies during this time but you can bet your a$$ I’ll be sitting in my local cinema as soon as I can. So so excited to watch this

This movie is powerful and moving!! Stan Walkers song envokes your very soul on such an intimate dimension. Origin by Ava DuVernay, is a must watch movie no matter where you are in the world. I have to go watch this movie again. One time, is not enough.

Stan Walkers song to this movie was a hair raising experience no doubt i know i was'wasn't the only one who experienced that. Its so great to have someone from AOTEAROA New Zealand with an extraordinary talent to share through out the nation. I can't wait to see the movie. Proud to be Maori.

Booked in to see Origin this Friday. Cannot wait.. been telling everyone about Stan and this movie! Been watching many Ava DuVernay interviews. Nothing can prepare us for this though. Going to be life changing.. to the core! 🙂👍

Wow! Ok. Saw the film yesterday. Still processing thoughts today. As mentioned watching interviews of the director and cast beforehand and getting an understanding of this movie could not prepare one for the raw depth that this film cut. Your heart will be changed. Conversations will be stirred. If you do some research and discover how this film came about you will understand it is nothing short of a MIRACLE! I'm so moved. So grateful. Thanks to all involved in its production!!! Thank you Stan for being so brave and an inspiration to us all! 🙏

I have to see this when it comes to NZ i love Stan Walkers soulful truthful music and voice in a million, i would like to think this movie will change people’s perception and attitude towards indigenous people and society around the world but mostly in Aotearoa New Zealand its needed now more than ever, Kia Kaha Stan your the man 🥰💯

We've been hanging out for this.... so excited.... I'm going to make sure some of our older Moko come too...From what I have heard, this movie is essential viewing to understand Human nature with how and where we can do better for the generations to come. We saw this today - opening day in Aus. Wow. This is not a movie to entertain or just to keep you occupied for a couple of hours. This is a movie that will change your perspective on EVERYTHING.

@@rie20100 I am helping a lot for this past 7 months. I even make comments on your local News , share , signed petitions etc.in order to support the people in Wauii . It’s difficult to fight the evil.😢

Wow! well, we all know he would help in any way he possibly could, because he's just that sort of person. My question is...why should he when he's not even Hawaiian? Surely the responsibility is with YOUR government to deal with that awful tragedy.

@@MK-oc4gt I said that because he is singing on the language, so i was thinking that he was from Wauii . Pardon was my mistake. And I said I’m doing the best I can, because I love this People. I don’t live in Wauii , never been there but I’m following them since 8 months ago, on the day of the Fire 🔥 (8/8/23). You right it’s the Government Responsibility but look’s they don’t care about, because they are stilling their lands to make they Smart City 🌆. It’s frustrating for me ! I cannot imagine how the People Fell 😥

@@mariateixeira6379 There may be similarities but even I can tell the difference. The Maori haka being a part of that culture, stands out simply because of it's 'agressive' nature! I don't see Hawaiian or any other culture the same way. While we all feel for the people of Hawaii and Lahaina specifically, most of us are limited in what we can do. It's the same with other tragic events happening all over the world. Wars, volcanic eruptions, massive floods, earthquakes, raging fires - all killing and/or displacing people. It appears as though he world has gone completely mad! However, we know Nature, or the ' hand of God' will have the final say in what mankind in it's foolishness, is doing to our beautiful planet! With much respect to you for your mahi and aroha to the people of Lahaina. Arohanui 🙏

Must say this preview is not exciting. That police call seemed random and disconnected to the story. Seems the only good things going for this movie is excellent music and good actors
