Original Ertl Dukes of Hazzard 1969 Dodge Charger Restoration

Hi Everyone! This week is a DOUBLE MAKEOVER! First I restore Gerard's original Ertl General back to factory, and then I try to customise a Hot Wheels Charger for long time viewer and contributor Nathan.

Very sharp looking general lees, I was 4 years old back in 1981 when the ertl general lee was brand new😊❤👍

Thank you, it did. They were happy with them, I've actually got another one for myself (at last) from the big box I've been doing videos on, and the Boss Hogg Caddy, so I might do another Dukes Double soon.

Lovely restorations PB. I'm from a generation that just missed those 80's shows (mid 80's kid) but by all accounts you've done a nice job with these.

I would be happy with both cars in my collection. They look bad ass to me.. I have a mint condition general Lee ( loose ). Very cool job on the card car too!

fun fact about a TV show accurate General Lee is that the rear lights were a matte black with an R/T emblem, automatic, no Hemi engine, and was orange (yes just orange and no fancy shade of it)

I cheated and bought the decals for this one. I have developed my own 'technique' to overcome the issue of white backed decals, if you check out my Mercury Ratrod video that has a pretty good explanation of how I do it Graham.

Thank you Mark. I just use Paint 3D in Microsoft Windows to edit, and use Word to get the sizing right.

Are you sure you didn’t “accidentally” unpackage a mint edition of the General Lee and put it on your turn table - ‘cuz it looked pretty accurate to me....maybe too accurate 😉 Anyway, I’m sure Boss Hogg is pretty mad that there are two more General Lee’s running around causing trouble now. Keep up the good work. Glad the wife is helping out with the hobby now - and the kid(s) are volunteering cars (or ARE they)?
