This song sends chills down my spine. My Uncle was gone a year in October and he would always tell me that if I would just sit down and learn, that I could play my guitar. Each time I’d walk in his house, he’d be playing a song. I can still hear that old song. Thank you for singing this beautiful song. You’ve truly blessed me tonight.

Felt that so deep. What a great thanksgiving inspiration for our parents. We're all flawed by sin but also designed in the image of the Lord. It's time to let go, love as we were instructed, and recognize all that the Lord has done through those who have shaped our lives. I'm 63 and you are shaping my life. Imagine all you can do in the name of our Lord. Blessed be the name of our Lord for all He has done and is doing through this generation. Carry on. I never got into music such as this. But the way you played it really helps me understand how music can touch a heart in such a beautiful way. All of you have a talent that touched my heart. You kids are just getting better and better. I love the inventive solos on fiddle and mandolin - especially some of the unusual textures that help make it richer and much more interesting. There's great power in traditional-leaning music - but it's even better when fresh touches and approaches are mixed in. Which is what all great musicians strive for, making each piece unique in its own nuances and approach. Keep it up!

What timing--I've been getting into watching your videos over the last few weeks, and I just saw this one for the first time today...one day after finding out about the passing of the professor who taught all my music theory and ear-training classes. I guess it had already been a year, but it is still fresh news for me; I've thought several times over the last few months about getting back in touch with him to ask about his book of solfege patterns that I'd like to use with my piano students. I don't know much about what he believed in, but I still use a lot of the concepts he taught me when I play piano in church, and hindsight shows me that God indeed chose him to teach me about music fundamentals.
