No doubt, HMV did a wonderful job on this album. But one can not just move forward without taking cognizance of the legend Rahul Dev Burman who was very meticulous about even a smallest piece of an instrument , where to give it a lift.. balance each instrument perfectly. He was a finest music composer and an amazing technician...A rarest blend ever!!

Thank you, Saregama, for taking me back to childhood, the early 1980s, when this LP version was the rage. In the CD compilations, released much later by Saregama, a small fragment was added to the beginning, featuring the opening lines, unplugged, in Lataji & Kishore-da's voices. Though a welcome addition, it seemed to sort of jar in ears accustomed with listening to the actual & original beginning in the LP version. Thank you very much for bringing this one back. It sounds superb. The entire LP of "Shakti", including not only the film's 3-and-a half songs but 3 pieces of dialogues, & major bits of the fabulous theme music scored by RDB, has always been a dream possession for us RDB / KK / LM fans. I request Saregama to upload, one by one, the entire content of this fascinating LP, in the near future.
