Aaron Burckhard was the first drummer recruited for Kurt Cobain and Krist Novoselic's rock group that soon came to be known as Nirvana.
Burckhard performed as a part of this band until December 1987.
Burckhard was no longer a part of Nirvana by the time it recorded its first demo at Reciprocal Recordings in Seattle on January 23, 1988 (Dale Crover of Melvins served as his replacement).

I’ve been there at the bridge, at Kurt’s home, and you just happened to run into Aaron burkhard!! That’s crazy!! He just happened to be there?? Everyone was really nice over there in Aberdeen all the locals I spoke with told me about Kurt as a kid

Damn, that backpack says it all. If ya know what I mean. Aaron Burckhardt is hanging around that park looking for "Nirvana fans," likely to share his story and try to earn some kind of a living. I mean, in a world where people live off of much, much smaller cultural "contributions," can't we all just pitch in and get Burckhardt off the streets of Aberdeen? I mean, what the fuck? This guy was in fucking Nirvana!! Lol. Sadly, he isn't the first bandmate of a zeitgeist-level/ubiquitous rock group find themselves on the streets. This is a guy who, had he went left rather than right one or two times, could have been one of the most well-known artists of the 20th century. Like Dave Foster, Burckhardt didn't get kicked out for not being a good drummer. In fact, Cobain and company *liked* Burckhardt's drumming, oh okay, yes, I'm just getting to the part where Aaron is pulling up that video lol. Notice how quick he is to say, "it wasn't anything musical." That's important, and he's exactly right, as he's actually a pretty damn good drummer. He's fighting some demons, as I'm sure others can see. Sucks. The world is a hard place, man. Godspeed, Mr. Burckhardt. Kurt Cobain thought you were a good drummer, and that's no small thing lol.

@@artistsonrecord the name of that park is Tacoma Park? Kidding. That's interesting, I wonder what he's doing that far out on the Peninsula. Probably visiting family or something. I don't like the looks of that backpack lol. Maybe it's a "Tacoma" brand backpack.

Guys, I think most of You don't understand. This guy can seem beaten but he was a focal point in all the Nirvana mania. Withan Aaron there would not be Nirvana. Be Sure. All the style that came through Kurt later have origin in Floyd, Spank Through and the musical foundation Aaron gave to the group. Nirvana without Chad, could have anyway been. Is is my convintion, as much as I adore Dave, and as much as I understand his contribution to the Nirvana sound, that Aaron could have been Dave and Nirvana being famous with Aaron if the latter was not a total imbecil. Sorry Aaron but You are

One thing, I was a heavy heroin addict for 15 years I am telling you it’s 100% impossible to take a lethal dose of heroin and then do anything beyond close your eyes and die, there’s no way NO WAY Kurt took 3x a lethal dose and then went and got a gun and blew his head off, it’s impossible. As soon as that gear flowed into his veins he would of been out like a light. There’s no question.

whats a lethal dose for a heavy daily user? I can assure you its more than 225mg. 3x the lethal dose? cite your source for this claim please. your hero was a depressed addict who took his own life whether Kurt truthers want to accept that or not.

I believe heroin tolerance over extended periods of usage increases massively, to the point that a 'lethal dose' for a non-addict would equal just a regular hit (or less) for a hardcore addict. I have seen doctors explaining this. however, without speculating on exactly what happened, there is so much evidence which points toward the official story of Kurt's death being inaccurate, if not downright impossible. I mean *SO* much evidence. (and I spent the best part of 25 years not even questioning that he killed himself, before actually looking into it)

Glad you got to talk to him but he I believe is still doing drugs I could tell by the way he’s acting. He could hardly keep still. He’s just not behaving normally.

Thanks for calling attention to something that every single person who watches this video will be well aware of. So what if he's doing drugs? What difference does it make? Do you take any medications? Does anyone in your family? So someone else prescribes you drugs and he prescribed himself drugs. I get so tired of the fixation with demonizing people who use street drugs v. people who use legislation-approved drugs.

@@TriceyDiva Yeah he's obviously homeless. I don't understand why it must be put into words on here when everyone can clearly see he's not doin too hot. Also, he said, "I haven't stuck a needle in my arm since 2010." The type of drug he is likely using is not one you inject. By "needle" he means dope, smack, heroin, etcetera. So no, he didn't truly "lie," he simply misspoke and should have just said, "I haven't used heroin since 2010."

I wouldn't say he's neccessarily used anything in years, I've met plenty of people who have just used so much over their whole lifespan that this is how they act stone sober. Many people never recover from that.

@@snobbingas189 Great point, I've met quite a few in that world myself. It's always a bummer. Whatever the case, Burckhardt has some things he's dealing with, of that there is little doubt. It's just the people like OP, people who cannot leave a tacit thing unspoken, they must broadcast the shortcoming, and I see no reason for it. Small thing, but kinda not, in a way. It's taboo and inappropriate to comment on a fat guy's video something like, "oh yeah right. He said he didn't eat today, that's a lie!" Lol. Drug addicts are still in a class wherein it's perfectly okay and politically correct to degrade, harass , harangue, ridicule, mock, openly judge, etcetera. The original post didn't do any of these things, to be clear, it's just an annoying thing to do from a person without much loved experience.
