The closest I’m seeing in the splatoon locker decorations would either be the “Squid Friends” (Though those are really more “Furby” than Blåhaj IMO) or the “Eel-stripe plushies” (similarly friend-shaped, and just swapping out Shiver’s friends for Frye’s)

@@Cr4z3d Both lean into the pop art and Tokyo-style dense urbanism, but several of the elements in the video, including major recurring motifs, are DIRECT references to Splatoon. They may have both been a factor, but I think it’s pretty hard to argue Splatoon wasn’t the primary inspiration.

This is just incredible. The Splatoon vibes, the harmonization, the way the beat pretty much bounces on its own wavelength, everything just makes for an amazing piece when put all together. And I swear, at certain points I could hear Calamari Inkantation sprinting to the forefront before leading into the main beat. This is why she, even as a prince, truly is the king.

I love this song! It's obviously quite different to golden age but I think the obvious Splatoon inspirations and Rin's almost deeper (more natural sounding?) voice make it a very pleasant surprise. Going in my playlist instantly.
