Baltimore Orioles Celebrates it's 40th anniversary from 1954 to 1994

From 1966-83, Baltimore had 17 winning seasons in 18 years. 8 playoff appearances, 7 AL East Championships, 6 AL Pennants, 3 World Series Trophies. 18-8 record in the ALCS. 19-14 in the WS. 37-22 overall playoff record. Won 8 of 13 playoff series. A dynasty of a sort for sure. It was almost 2 decades of very consistent play at a high level. Baltimore finished in 2nd place 7x and 3rd place 1x, 4th place 1x and 6th place 1x.

They won their first AL pennant in 1944.

lcrossmk8 - the St. Louis Browns won that pennant and that’s where that pennant belongs. I understand the Browns are now the Orioles, but that pennant in 1944 doesn’t belong to Baltimore. It belongs to St. Louis.

Pretty special to see this. I had this on VHS I believe it was a gas station we got it at I watched this over and over as a kid 95 was a special year wearing #8 in little league in Baltimore was surreal and my hero doing something that was as close to impossible as it gets Thank you cal for saving baseball

So wonderful! My memories! Wish Mark Belanger and Davy Johnson had been represented. Mark, The Blade, was a human vacuum cleaner and the best short stop on defence!

@jesusisnotallright s What about George Sisler? He holds the Orioles' record for batting average and hits in a season, among other things. 1994 isn't the Orioles' 40th anniversary. That's a big lie. It's their 100th anniversary, but I guess no one cares.
