Santander is starting to be respected as an elite hitter in the show. They will not throw him back to back pitches if he looks really bad on a swing against a particular pitch. Which pitchers only do against elite hitters because they understand they will only look bad once and if you give them a chance to redeem themselves immediately you will be on the wrong end of a highlight video. He looked foolish on a 1-1 curveball in the 5th of game 3 and it was followed by high cheese but Anthony hasn’t realized that he’s being respected as an elite hitter yet so he chased. O’Hearn saw 3 in a row after looking bad on the first one and he’s a very good big league hitter.

You did not see a baseball game! All you saw, except for rare instances was a pitcher, a catcher and an umpire. This ridiculous view we get is a joke. There is absolutely no feeling that you're watching a baseball game when seen only from a center field camera. Baseball games used to be televised from above and behind home plate where the announcers sit, and you could see at least the infielders and the base runners and their tactics. You felt as if you were almost there. Can you imagine the announcers having to broadcast the game from center field and seeing only the pitcher and the catcher? Impossible. But that’s what we’re subject to. Now they have to use icons to show who's on base! It's absurd. It's as if you are watching a video game. I never watch a baseball game on TV when broadcast on YES or any other network because it's not really a baseball game. In football, hockey, basketball, soccer, etc. you always see the field and usually all the players. NOT IN BASEBALL! The televised game now is claustrophobic and suffocating compared to what watching a baseball game should look like. I would never pay to watch a televised baseball game. It's so frustrating. Watch some older games when Mantle, Berra and the like played. You saw the field!! Wow! There's an actual field and NINE players! We are getting cheated. Also, who needs to see all these inane closeups of players in the dugout spitting or closeups of the announcers again and again and again when a player is at bat? Maddening! I'd rather listen to the game on the radio. When I visit a minor league game (The Lakewood Blue Claws) in my county, I am awed and overwhelmed by the spaciousness and beauty of the field, the players movements, the defensive maneuvers, the whole environment. I'm actually watching a baseball game! I've written to the Yankee organization to no avail. Of course, all the teams televise the same absurd way now. Am I the only one who feels this way? If not, please write and complain. You deserve to watch a real and correctly televised game, not this farce which we are subjected to. Such a shame-- a ruination of a beautiful game.

Some day in the very near future guys like Henderson, Rutchman and Westburg are going to sign huge contracts with the Yankees, Mets, Red Sox, Phillies, Dodgers, etc. The time to go all in and sign quality pitchers is now. No, the O's don't need to go out and get some pitching. I think there's still a few 17 year olds in single A they can bring up. Or better yet, why not look at the local 13-16 league? I mean, with the best record in the AL, it's certainly not time to spend a little money. Even though, there are some available arms that are still under control so they really wouldn't need to spend much. This continues, Elias, they are going to ask for that 'executive of the year' award back.
@ryanbon2414
@ryanbon2414 Ай бұрын
I have been waiting and waiting for them to sign guys. John’s Means, Tyler Wells and Kyle Braddish all out for the remainder of the season. Danny will come back in September if we’re lucky. Burns is our only true reliable starter. Squarez and Irvin are fairly consistent but you never know. When it comes to Kremer you would get more consistent playing roulette. O’s have debatably a once in a generation team. We don’t have the payroll to keep Henderson, Rutchman and Westburg. Even guys like Santander, O’hearn, Cowser and Mountcastle will draw larger contracts. The time to go all in is now.

@TheGreatCommission777 Trust me. We need to bolster our pitching greatly. What we have is decent, but only because our offense gives the rotation & relief a cushion each night. This has been an issue since late 2022. At some point, we have to refurbish the bullpen and add to the rotation

When the O's lose, America wins!! Before you O's fans get triggered, you like to say that when the Yankees lose. Here you go. How does it feel? A-mazing😂!! O well, Oakland is the real O's.

Hey man lol. When it comes to Payroll the Orioles rank 25/30. Meanwhile the Yankees are 2/30. The Orioles payroll is $100M and the Yankees is $300M. When you have $300M to play around with your able to just outbid other organizations and sign the best players. Smaller cap teams like the Os need to get lucky in draft and develop talents. A small budget team having an extraordinary season will always be more respected than a corporate giant have an extraordinary season. Aaron Judges annual salary is 40M and Sotos is 31.5M. So, two Yankees players salary’s make up 71% of the Os entire payroll. Judge and Soto’s salaries are higher than the A’s entire payroll ($63M). It’s the equivalent of being given a Bugatti to race against minivans. It’s not really impressive to beat minivans in a race with a Bugatti, butttt, if a minivan can beat a Bugatti that says something.

America wins when the Yankees lose because no other team has fans as miserable as the Yankees. And no other team disappoints year in year out like the Yankees.

@ArkticNFL No fan base is as miracle as the O's. Your team has disappointed fans for DECADES! Until the O's win a title, we have nothing to discuss.

@ryanbon2414 Listen, your team is in first place. Therefore, you have to take the trolling as it comes. I don't want to hear or read that tired argument about payroll. Would you rather drive a Camry or a Bugatti? Do you want a house or a tiny broom closet apartment? The O's are not that irrelevant, inconsequential, and invisible team that finished fourth or last for decades.They are now seen and will have their losses highlighted like the Yankees. So what you are going to do is to take the trolling as it comes, regardless of the fanbase. That's what comes with being a fan of a first place team. If you don't like it, then TOUGH!!

Granted, I can't even go across seas to Europe without seeing a damn Yankee cap being worn every 100 feet 😅
