@@balbarith45that’s an excuse to start problems. Why would Soto intentionally hit someone on his signing year? He also jumped so the ball won’t touch him, thats when the 3rd baseman got in his way and the collision happened. Clearly unintentional.

@@jaydee4177 half intentional. He knew it was highly likely that neither Judge nor Torres could get out of the way of those pitches but he threw them anyway. Better a hbp than a hit is what he thought.

@@milesnexusicon9635 that's based on the assumption that both of those pitches went exactly where he wanted them to go (which is just fully intentional, by the way - not sure what you mean by half intentional). It's also possible that he was having some control issues on his inside corner putaway pitches tonight and they ended up riding closer to the batter than he intended. Without some obvious exterior motive for hitting two batters in a game you're still obviously trying to win, I think we should give the pitcher the benefit of the doubt
