insane synergy with qls mub1 even on a basic cable, at high gain the planar mids begin to breathe deeply and the subbass begins to rumble like dry thunder and vibrate as if there was a bone driver, if you connect some good silver wire, the space increases and the bass becomes even greater leaner and more technical, I highly recommend trying these combinations💥🤘😎

What music genres do you listen to most?

Indie Rock/Pop, Classic Rock, IDM, Rap... all kinds of stuff. I think they are not the best for female vocals butt they do it more than fine and they just have this laid back sound that makes you also tap your foot. quite good!

I beg to differ, after pairing it with chord mojo 2 it becomes a vocal king 😊

Interesting IEM and great review. How does this compare to the Spirit Torino Pulse Twin Berylium you reviewed a few months ago? Sounds like they are at similar price points and share some tuning similarities with emphasised bass, strong vocals and non-fatiguing but detailed treble. The imaging and soundstage sound like they might be very different. Which one might you suggest for somebody looking primarily for a natural timbre above technicalities but with a vivid dynamic and detailed presentation?

@@Tom-ts5qd I ended up purchasing both. On paper, they are similar when using the red filters on the Twin Pulse; (big bold sound, deep elavated bass, rich lower mids, non fatiguing treble). Both have good macro presentation, I find the Twin Pulse to have better micro presentation and more detail retrieval in the treble. Timbre is slightly more accurate (to my ears) with the Spirit Torino, specifically for strings and brass instruments. The Szalayi has a slightly bigger bass and more decay as well. Notes linger longer. Gives it a slightly hall like effect. The soundstage is also grander, maybe because of the longer decay but sounds like a big hall. I find note weight slightly bigger and heavier. Gives a real huge sense of scale and density. The Twin Pulse's soundstage also has good width but sounds a little more accurate and sounds more like an open headphone type presentation (hope that makes sense). The treble is where the biggest difference is with the Spirit Torino being relatively neutral here (but with a little spike between 4-5KHz I can occasionally hear). The Szalayi, on the other hand, is very much not for treble heads. It's a fun, syrupy, liquid presentation. The biggest thing for me (though I feel most won't be bothered by it) is there is some texture in the subbass which the Szalayi has which the Twin Pulse doesn't. I notice it particularly with metal with a lot of heavy fuzz and distortion where, despite having similar bass levels and depth, the Szalayi has more rumble. I should also add I only own one IEM which has that presentation. It isn't just a basshead IEM thing. I have other bassy IEMs but and only one of them has that same quality. It's a lot of fun. The Szalayi is much larger (but still very comfortable for me). The Twin Pulse is a bud style and I had to change the cable and switch tips to get a good fit. Driving wise, the Twin Pulse is above average to drive whereas the Szalayi really needs good amplification to shine. Overall I'd say they both have non fatiguing, rich, big presentations with particular emphasis on bass and lower mids. The Twin Pulse has a more forward upper mid and treble presentation, the Szalayi darker and more syrupy. The Szalayi is a rich, bassy IEM which will never give you treble fatigue. It sounds rich, dense, big and powerful but needs driving power to shine. Lot of fun though. The Twin Pulse is similarly rich but with more treble and (for me) slightly better instrumental accuracy. It's also easier to drive and has more versatility due to having tuning nozzles to reduce the bass. Hope that helps a little.

This or the Campfire Supermoon? Trying to decide.

I have both in my hands and I decided to keep the Oriolus, since I found an incredibly amazing bunch of mub1 and now I want to keep it for a long time👍🔥

This vs the monarch mk2/3?
@plainseed7 ай бұрын
Monarch is much more neutral in tuning. But szalayi bass-heavy tuning is unlike any other bass-head IEM. Very musical
