A showcase of my converted/kitbashed Ork Mek Gunz.
Using a combination of the Ork Trukk and Mek Gun kits (along with lots of parts from the bitz box) I have created 4 unique Mek Gunz all armed with Kustom Mega Kannons.

Thanks Jack. Trying to make each look different, while making them tie in with each other is the challenge. But I think I managed to pull it off. 😊

Great mech gunz. I love the idea of one large base, so I'm going to steal that idea. I have old RT and 2nd edition grots holding wrenches, drills, and other tools that I'm going to throw on mine.

Ayup Stevo. These are looking well good mate. Love the variety. l agree with you. No two ork models should be the same. l don't think l have ever built a model as standard.Good to see you on 'da nooz' wiv Dread the other day too.

As a fellow ork player I do enjoy personalizing my vehicles, from something as little as putting that horned skull for the warbiker kit at the front of a trukk, to actually adding an interior to the battlewagon, including a driver. One of the other things I did with my battlewagon was add a massive banner from the turret, with an included crows nest, complete with grot waving a flag. Have you thought about maybe giving one or 2 of your crew signal flags? I think it would add to the diorama feel as well as be part of the story

If you wanna go really funny, I remember the old big guns in earlier codexes saying it was a punishment, since the guns were so loud they would go deaf and have to use sign language; and grots can only hold a limited number of signs. You could possibly model one leaning on a sign that says 'shoot' one side, and 'flee!!!' on the other.

That's just actually one of the parts from the standard kit. But meant for one of the other weapon options. But I thought it looked cool so had to add it on.

Ohhhh your cranking them out now. I'm glad to see these. I was considering getting mek guns and keep them next to a shokk attack gun just lobbing shots and being repaired

Nice job on 'em - and it's always nice to get twice as many as you're supposed to get from a couple of kits :-) The bases look a lot better on the mek gunz than they do on the vehicles too.

@@6Stevo Nice convert models! But this base take a lot of space off table. ork army is massive.a lot models on deployment... My opinion this base for mek gunz are not good idea. take a lot of space in deployment.looks good but not practical in games.

Crackin job mate! If any of the mek Gunz should look individual, it's definitely the KUSTOM mega blaster. I'm a big fan of the one with the engine

The only thought I have regarding the grot crew is & bare with me, Mek Guns have 6 wounds & 5 grot crew. You could potentially use them as wound markers rather than a dice. For Every wound you remove a grot, lose 6 wounds remove the gun. It has the potential to make some great magnetised diorama style gun but obviously a lot of work. If you catch my drift 👍🏻

Those look fantastic why did you select that base size?? There Is no specific base is there now??? And the speed freaks box ovals are like 150mm ovals much bigger... but fantastic stuff I would love to show you alot of my gunz... I used some fantasy great cannons and extra kannons from the battle wagon kit...

I used this size as I measured the space I would need for the gunz and the grots. These are the perfect size I reckon. Any smaller and they would be really crammed in there.

Yeah, these are cool. But I think that Mega Cannon Mek Gunz are kinda expensive in points.
