That's all the scenes they needed to have too...it provided the film with a greater emotional impact at seeing them finally reunite again, as oppose to focusing the whole film on them.

Dont be, the whole idea of this movie was to find the trident so they can bring Will and by that also Elizabeth... if you noticed Jack Sparrow didnt even have the spot light.. he didnt have the same "badassity" like the previous movies.. it was more of a Turners movie next movie will be epic with Jack,Will,Elizabeth and if they can bring Barbossa it would be awesome against Davy Jones... cause Post credits clip...

Love his face when he´s speaking about Keira. It´s so sad these two have so little space in this movie. 10 years we waited for this, for reunite again Will and Elizabeth and just 30 seconds scene. That sucks. Anyway, these scene with them was a best about the whole story Pirates 5.

The movie-makers weren't even going to give us that much, but iirc, test-audiences were pissed as hell that there was no reunion at all in the film, so they hurriedly did shot these extra scenes so as not to lose the portion of the fandom that specifically wanted to see the movie (aka spend their money) for that plot-point reason alone.

You're right..They are definitely underrated. Everybody always talks about the hair, eyes, abs and the penis. But his balls are surprisingly non-wrinkly and hang equally low.. Must be his secret work-out or something. Incredible, jaw dropping..almost literally..

To be honest, you can totally see how done Orlando is with the franchise. Everything about him says that they should have stopped after the third film, which I agree with. 4 and 5 weren't bad, but not nearly as amazing as the buildup of the first three movies.

Seems strange he's doing so much press for the film when he's only in it for three scenes, two minutes at the beginning, a minute at the end, and a 30 second post credit scene (That most people will have missed.)

well, it was originally planned, the disney producer, when announcing cast for POTC 5 said that there will be a return of a character that people will love to see *INTERACT WITH* Jack. And then he announced return of Will Turner. But that didn't happen in the movie, so the script was obviously changed and Orlando probably wanted to give more space to his POTC son

He's been underwater for a long time before his son found him and it naturally just started to grow on his face, cuz he didn't physically change but stuff just grew on him. 2. He wasn't supposed to return to the other world too soon when his son found him that's why Will told his son he has to return before it's too late

I don't think the compass thing was a mistake. I think it was intentionally to make the audience react. Remember that Tia Dalma (Calypso) said that Jack BARTERED the compass from her. It could mean that the compass belonged to Jack but somehow Calypso got her hands on it and Jack had to make a trade to get it back from her. Calypso is sneaky that way.

Daniel C That's sort of been the problem with the movies, IMO. Orlando and Keira were the real stars of the first movie. With each sequel they moved Depp closer to the center and it hurt the movies because Jack Sparrow is too one-note to really carry a movie.
