It's time to go go go against Dacia!
In this scenario, Trajan must team up with Hadrian to take down the hostile kingdom of Dacia. You ravage the countryside with raids to the west, while Hadrian leads the direct assault from the east. Be sure to manage your resources well!

Balistas do benefit from ballistics! Check the Government Center once you reached Iron Age, you can pretty much play Romans in AoE1 like you play them in AoE2 (minus the centurion buff..).

My one complaint about the campaigns is the random difficulty spikes. Sargon goes from being the easiest campaign to having to win on water and land with 75 pop and barely any gold.

Sargon 4 seemed pretty impossible but early phalanx is the key to saving top and preventing them from overwhelming your base, the docks are easy if you go straight for them.

@Alex Cheung rushing the docks is the easy part. It's the rng of the attacks that makes it hard to plan for. Sometimes, the first set of villagers you get from green get immediately rushed, and there's nothing you can do but reset.

@@kingsarues1586 The first set of Vills I just send to the corner of the map to cut trees, use your initial forces and some Camels to kill the first rush. When it is clear enough build the Academies in the open space.

The Ragin' Trajan, they called him. Or something. Also, learn to love Heliopolis spam in this campaign. When you get that and actually research ballistics, they become an unstoppable deathball for Romans. They're like machine guns on wheels.

I like a lot the story telling of those campaigns. There is everything there that was important and yet it's said it short and easy way. For example they could remove emperor Nerva from the story to make it Simple but they didnt so for that they get big thumb up.

Good video. Just a short point to aoe1 online. There is a ruleset d3 that basically lets you boom. Otherwise with 0 defence option just going fast up axeman spam forward barracks cannot be beaten really

In mine they had way more units and they destroyed my buildings before I could even push past, they only lef the dock so I had to build my army slowly and only had trade giving me resources to rebuild.

I've noticed that a lot of the voice lines in the RoR sound like deepened versions of the Greek voice lines from Age of Mythology. Is anyone else hearing it or is it just me?

curious on how you're going to beat the 5th scenario. Been trying on moderate difficulty 6 times in a row and the wonder gets me every single time. I can barely damage it (1 catapult shell at best) and whoooops i'm defeated... again!

Hello, quick random question, just came back to AOE II and been trying to do a campaign achievement called "Expedited Delivery" In the Sargón campaign, does it require to be done in any specific difficulty?

It is also nice to train like 12 ballistas with ballistics, then upgrade to helepolis and then absolutely annihilate everything

I foolishly send two dozens infantry units to Hadrian base thinking he might get ambushed somehow, only to find myself being overwhelmed on the western from by enemy centurions and comp archers.

Roman civ weakness is Archers, and cavalry. Because they missing so many units. Romans has one of best infantry. Have Legionary, and Centurions, good siege, and good navy.

Tbh, I didn't liked much how Trajan campaign is so limit on population and also gave us Ai ally who hardly does anything. Hadrian should've been a player instead.

No matter how much I look at it, I want the production company to make a setting point so that the direction the unit looks at can be set and deployed when deploying troops to major points. Of course, it was good that DLC introduced additional large points on the move, but there is no direction for the unit to look at in the game itself, so there is a difficulty of pressing the same point dozens of times..
