Welcome to another episode of Marathon Training in Kenya with Luis Orta! This year we bring you a ton of great new content from the Home of Champions: Iten, Kenya! In this season, we meet up with some of the huge groups that train together in Iten, joining them on long runs, medium long runs, fartleks, track workouts, easy runs, and more! We have some special guests, including Olympic medalist Paul Chelimo who was born and raised in Iten.
In this episode, we’re taking a quick break from Luis’s training and revisiting the Running Mecca Camp we hosted with 12 athletes from all over the world. This will give you a behind the scenes recap of what its like to join us for a Kenyan experience. This episode covers the first 4 days of a week long camp and includes: training sessions in legendary places like Moiben Road, Tiren Road, Kamariny Forest, a market trip, a countryside motorbike tour, and a visit to a Masai Mara farm.
