Thanks a lot, great explanation. What are other ways of creating moments other than squeezing the wire into the bracket?

Thanks, Magda, I'm glad you found it helpful! A moment is created whenever a force is applied at any point other than the center of resistance, so basically all the time during orthodontic treatment! For instance, a moment would be created when engaging a wire into a bracket slot but also when springs are pushing against the crowns of teeth like with a removable appliance. Thank you so much fr the clear lecture! I followed your lectures from Magnitude. I would like to und what the examples of light forces and heavy forces? I'm trying to understand the application of the magnitude of forces to the duration

Light forces are hard to attain clinically but could be exerted by a light superelastic wire being tied to the bracket. Heavy forces could be 500+ grams if you are stretching heavy elastics to a reverse pull headgear appliance for instance.
