Marriage is work. After almost 30 years of marriage and there has been major ups and downs. We have worked and loved each other, but we love each other more today than yesterday. And our two sons know that just because times get tough doesn't mean you end it. You work through it, because you love each other. And you never give up on the ones you love. (This doesn't include physical or emotional abuse)

After 48 years of marriage and the first 24 years living a secular marriage, it was FABULOUS hearing that when a young man learns how to be husband before the chasana, he is told he is supposed to love his wife as much of himself and to honor her more. He is told that he should shield his eyes from other women and to only have eyes for her...and that she covers her hair from other men and only shows him her hair. These aspects of Torah observance were very appealing...and mikva was the sprinkles on the ice cream cone. Our daughter had us sold! Marriage is constant effort...but the rewards are AMAZING! Three daughters, three "sons" and now fourteen enicklach! Well worth it!
